Claims
- 1. A sleeve having a flattened condition and openable therefrom, comprising:
an outer peripheral surface, a first sidewall edge, a second sidewall edge, an upper end having an upper edge, a lower end having a lower edge, an inner peripheral surface, and an inner space, wherein the lower edge has a first concave edge extending from the first sidewall edge, and a second concave edge extending from the second sidewall edge, with the first concave edge and the second concave edge meeting at a pointed terminal end of the lower end, and wherein the first concave edge and the second concave edge are curved inwardly toward the inner space of the sleeve.
- 2. The sleeve of claim 1 having a generally frustoconical shape when opened from the flattened condition.
- 3. The sleeve of claim 1 further comprising a gusset in the lower end.
- 4. The sleeve of claim 1 further comprising an upper portion, a lower portion, and a detaching element for detaching the upper portion from the lower portion.
- 5. The sleeve of claim 4 wherein the detaching element comprises perforations in the sleeve.
- 6. The sleeve of claim 4 wherein the detaching element has a non-linear pattern such that when the upper portion is detached, the lower portion is left with an upper end having a non-linear upper edge.
- 7. The sleeve of claim 4 wherein the detaching element has a linear pattern such that when the upper portion is detached, the lower portion is left with an upper end having a linear upper edge.
- 8. The sleeve of claim 4 wherein the upper portion is sized to substantially surround and enclose a floral grouping disposed within the sleeve.
- 9. The sleeve of claim 4 wherein the upper portion is adapted to support the sleeve from a support assembly.
- 10. The sleeve of claim 1 further comprising a skirt portion.
- 11. The sleeve of claim 1 wherein the upper edge is a non-linear upper edge.
- 12. The sleeve of claim 1 wherein the upper edge is a generally linear upper edge.
- 13. A sleeve having a flattened condition and openable therefrom, comprising:
an outer peripheral surface, a first sidewall edge, a second sidewall edge, an upper end having an upper edge, a lower end having a lower edge, an inner peripheral surface, and an inner space, wherein the lower edge has a first concave edge extending from the first sidewall edge, and a second concave edge extending from the second sidewall edge, with the first concave edge and the second concave edge meeting at a pointed terminal end of the lower end, and wherein the first concave edge and the second concave edge are curved inwardly toward the inner space of the sleeve, and the sleeve further having a detaching element extending from the first sidewall edge to the second sidewall edge for detaching an upper portion of the sleeve from a lower portion of the sleeve.
- 14. The sleeve of claim 13 having a generally frustoconical shape when opened from the flattened condition.
- 15. The sleeve of claim 13 further comprising a gusset in the lower end.
- 16. The sleeve of claim 13 wherein the detaching element comprises perforations in the sleeve.
- 17. The sleeve of claim 13 wherein the detaching element has a non-linear pattern such that when the upper portion is detached, the lower portion is left with an upper end having a non-linear upper edge.
- 18. The sleeve of claim 13 wherein the detaching element has a linear pattern such that when the upper portion is detached, the lower portion is left with an upper end having a linear upper edge.
- 19. The sleeve of claim 13 wherein the upper portion is sized to substantially surround and enclose a floral grouping disposed within the sleeve.
- 20. The sleeve of claim 13 wherein the upper portion is adapted to support the sleeve from a support assembly.
- 21. The sleeve of claim 1 further comprising a skirt portion.
- 22. A sleeve having a flattened condition and openable therefrom, comprising:
an outer peripheral surface, a first sidewall edge, and a second sidewall edge defining a sidewall having a tapered shape, an upper end having an upper edge, a lower end having a lower edge, an inner peripheral surface, and an inner space, wherein the lower edge has a first concave edge extending from the first sidewall edge, and a second concave edge extending from the second sidewall edge, with the first concave edge and the second concave edge meeting to form a point at the lower end, and wherein the first concave edge and the second concave edge are curved inwardly toward the inner space of the sleeve.
- 23. The sleeve of claim 22 having a generally frustoconical shape when opened from the flattened condition.
- 24. The sleeve of claim 22 further comprising a gusset in the lower end.
- 25. The sleeve of claim 22 further comprising an upper portion, a lower portion, and a detaching element for detaching the upper portion from the lower portion.
- 26. The sleeve of claim 25 wherein the detaching element comprises perforations in the sleeve.
- 27. The sleeve of claim 25 wherein the detaching element has a non-linear pattern such that when the upper portion is detached, the lower portion is left with an upper end having a non-linear upper edge.
- 28. The sleeve of claim 25 wherein the detaching element has a linear pattern such that when the upper portion is detached, the lower portion is left with an upper end having a linear upper edge.
- 29. The sleeve of claim 25 wherein the upper portion is sized to substantially surround and enclose a floral grouping disposed within the sleeve.
- 30. The sleeve of claim 25 wherein the upper portion is adapted to support the sleeve from a support assembly.
- 31. The sleeve of claim 22 further comprising a skirt portion.
- 32. The sleeve of claim 22 wherein the upper edge is a non-linear upper edge.
- 33. The sleeve of claim 22 wherein the upper edge is a generally linear upper edge.
- 34. A sleeve having a flattened condition and openable therefrom, comprising:
an outer peripheral surface, a first sidewall edge, and a second sidewall edge defining a sidewall having a tapered shape, an upper end having an upper edge, a lower end having a lower edge, an inner peripheral surface, and an inner space, wherein the lower edge has a first concave edge extending from the first sidewall edge, and a second concave edge extending from the second sidewall edge, with the first concave edge and the second concave edge meeting to form a point at the lower end, and wherein the first concave edge and the second concave edge are curved inwardly toward the inner space of the sleeve, and the sleeve further having a detaching element extending from the first sidewall edge to the second sidewall edge for detaching an upper portion of the sleeve from a lower portion of the sleeve.
- 35. The sleeve of claim 34 having a generally frustoconical shape when opened from the flattened condition.
- 36. The sleeve of claim 34 further comprising a gusset in the lower end.
- 37. The sleeve of claim 34 wherein the detaching element comprises perforations in the sleeve.
- 38. The sleeve of claim 34 wherein the detaching element has a non-linear pattern such that when the upper portion is detached, the lower portion is left with an upper end having a non-linear upper edge.
- 39. The sleeve of claim 34 wherein the detaching element has a linear pattern such that when the upper portion is detached, the lower portion is left with an upper end having a linear upper edge.
- 40. The sleeve of claim 34 wherein the upper portion is sized to substantially surround and enclose a floral grouping disposed within the sleeve.
- 41. The sleeve of claim 34 wherein the upper portion is adapted to support the sleeve from a support assembly.
- 42. The sleeve of claim 22 further comprising a skirt portion.
