1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a plate material and more particularly to a slidable constructing plate which can be connected with adjacent plates by mutual sliding.
2. Description of the Related Art
Conventional plate materials for building floors, ceilings, cabinets, and drywalls are connected together by staples, screws, or chemical adhesives. There are disadvantages for connecting by staples, screws, and chemical adhesives even though it is convenient to construct the products with the aforementioned means.
There are many traces on the surfaces of the plate materials when connecting the plate materials by staples with a staple gun. Products constructed by the connecting plate materials are not aesthetically appealing. Furthermore, surface structures of the plate materials have been damaged by staples after connection. It is very dangerous for users to reconstruct the product after dismantling the connecting plate materials.
In addition, connecting the plate materials by screws is easy and convenient to connect and dismantle the connecting plate materials repeatedly. The structural strength of the plate materials is not destroyed by the screw holes and the screws. However, users cannot construct the products by connecting plate materials when one of the multiple screws is missing, which causes trouble for the users.
Furthermore, connecting the plate materials by chemical adhesives requires a lot of time for air-drying. The structural rigidness of connecting the plate materials by chemical adhesives is quite limited. After use over time, the chemical adhesives would detach from the gaps between the plate materials and then the connecting plate materials would separate and deteriorate. When the products constructed by the connecting plate materials such as floors, ceilings, cabinets, and drywalls collapse, it is very dangerous for people in the building.
Currently any kind of method to connect the conventional plate materials has disadvantages. We need new plate materials and method to connect the plates for constructing products.
An objective of the present invention is to provide a slidable constructing plate, which can combine with another slidable constructing plate without other fasteners such as screws or nails. Furthermore, the present invention introduces a sliding method to connect and fix the adjacent two plates. The sliding method can avoid damage on the plates by fasteners. The plate material can maintain structural strength of the slidable constructing plate and construct rigid products.
To achieve the foregoing objective, the present invention of a slidable constructing plate comprises: a top surface, a bottom surface corresponding to the top surface, and at least one peripheral surface connecting the top surface and the bottom surface. At least one protrusion protrudes from the at least one peripheral surface, and at least one notch is recessed into the at least one peripheral surface and corresponding in shape to the at least one protrusion. A first groove is recessed between the top surface and the at least one protrusion, and a second groove is recessed between the bottom surface and the at least one protrusion. The first groove is opposite the second groove. A first rib protrudes between the top surface and the at least one notch, and a second rib protrudes between the bottom surface and the at least one notch. The first rib and the second rib are opposite and protrude toward each other. The first groove and the second groove are corresponding in shape to the first rib and the second rib.
The advantage of the present invention is utilizing the protrusion and the notch of each of two adjacent slidable constructing plates to connect the two adjacent slidable constructing plates together by mutual sliding. Furthermore, the present invention further utilizes the grooves and the ribs of each of two adjacent slidable constructing plates to fix the two adjacent and connected slidable constructing plates together. The above structures of the slidable constructing plates provide the convenience to users to construct and dismantle floors or drywalls easily and quickly. In addition, the products constructed by the slidable constructing plates are strong and durable.
Preferably, roughened structures are respectively formed on the outer surface of the at least one protrusion and the outer surface of the at least one notch. The roughened structures longitudinally extend along the first groove, the second groove, the first rib, and the second rib. The advantage of the present invention is utilizing the roughened structures on the outer surfaces of the protrusion and of the notch to enhance the adhesion between the protrusion and the notch of two adjacent slidable constructing plates. The roughened structures of the protrusion or the roughened structures of the notch are pre-coated with chemical adhesives, and then the plates are moved to be adhered by the air-dried chemical adhesives, which can fill the above roughened structures but are not detached from the roughened structures by mutual sliding of the two adjacent slidable constructing plates. The roughened structures enhance the adhesion between the two adjacent slidable constructing plates and help the two adjacent slidable constructing plates to combine firmly.
More preferably, the plate is rectangular. The slidable constructing plate comprises four peripheral surfaces. The at least one protrusion is one protrusion in amount, and the at least one notch is one notch in amount. The protrusion and the notch are each respectively formed on two of the four peripheral surfaces, and the two of the four peripheral surfaces are opposite each other. The advantage of the present invention is that multiple rectangular slidable constructing plates can be connected one by one through the protrusion and the notch of each slidable constructing plate. Diversified products can be constructed by the multiple slidable constructing plates through the above connection.
Most preferably, the plate is made of aluminum, tin, and other metals or alloys. The materials of the plates are very light, thereby reducing weight of the products made from the plates. Then users can dismantle or assemble the multiple plates by themselves easily and enjoy the pleasure from DIY.

A protrusion 14 is formed on one of the four peripheral surfaces 13. A notch 15 is formed on another one of the four peripheral surfaces 13. The protrusion 14 is opposite the notch 15. The protrusion 14 protrudes from the peripheral surfaces 13, and the notch 15 is recessed into the peripheral surfaces 13. The protrusion 14 is corresponding in shape to the notch 15. The protrusion 14 of one slidable constructing plate 10 can be connected with the notch 15 of another slidable constructing plate 10.
Furthermore, a first groove 161 is recessed between the top surface 11 and the protrusion 14. A second groove 162 is recessed between the bottom surface 12 and the protrusion 14. The first groove 161 is opposite the second groove 162. The first groove 161 and the second groove 162 longitudinally extend along the extending direction of the slidable constructing plate 10. A first rib 171 protrudes between the top surface 11 and the notch 15, and a second rib 172 protrudes between the bottom surface 12 and the notch 15. The first rib 171 protrudes toward the second rib 172. The first rib 171 and the second rib 172 are hook-shaped and longitudinally extend along the extending direction of the slidable constructing plate 10. It is worth mentioning that the first groove 161 and the second groove 162 are corresponding in shape to the first rib 171 and the second rib 172. Two adjacent slidable constructing plates 10 can be connected together through sliding the first rib 171 and the second rib 172 of one slidable constructing plate 10 into the first groove 161 and the second groove 162 of its adjacent slidable constructing plate 10 and sliding the protrusion 14 of said adjacent slidable constructing plate 10 into the notch 15 of the slidable constructing plate 10. Two adjacent slidable constructing plates 10 can be fixed together by the above grooves and ribs. Then two connecting slidable constructing plates 10 are not easy to separate.

The slidable constructing plates 10 have been described as having the rectangular shape and four peripheral surfaces 13, but the present invention does not restrict the shape of the slidable constructing plate 10 and amount of the peripheral surfaces 13. For example, when the slidable constructing plate 10 is triangular, three peripheral surfaces 13 are formed around the top surface 11 and the bottom surface 12. When the slidable constructing plate 10 is circular, one peripheral surface 13 is formed around the top surface 11 and the bottom surface 12. When the slidable constructing plate 10 is hexagonal, six peripheral surfaces 13 are formed around the top surface 11 and the bottom surface 12.
In summary, the present invention mainly utilizes the protrusion 14 and the notch 15 to connect two adjacent slidable constructing plates 10 by mutual sliding. Furthermore, the present invention further utilizes the grooves and the ribs to fix two adjacent and connected slidable constructing plates 10. In addition, the present invention also utilizes the roughened structures 141,151 to enhance the adhesion between the protrusion 14 and the notch 15. The above structures of the slidable constructing plates 10 effectively enhance the firmness and durability of the products constructed by the slidable constructing plates 10.
