The present invention relates to a slider, for use in a curtain rail which comprises a substantially U-shaped profile, the legs of which in the position of use extending downwardly and at their lower ends are provided with mutually facing lips by which a head portion of the slider can be supported, whereby from the head portion, a suspension member protrudes downwardly to below the curtain rail.
Known sliders have the disadvantage, that the sliders in the curtain rail may be able to resonate when opening or closing a sliding curtain which is suspended from the glides. This may also occur for example, when in the closed position of the curtain, the wind has free play on it.
Sound may be produced through the back and forth swinging of the head portion of the sliders into the curtain rail, which is undesirable in most cases.
The present invention aims to remove this drawback, and provides at the head portion of the slider a flexible wing, which is attached to the head portion, and which in the position of use of the slider resiliently rests against the inner surface of a leg of the curtain rail, whereby the pivotal movement of the slider in the curtain rail is prevented.
In particular, the wing will be in the form of a U-shaped bracket, whereby the end of one leg of the bracket is fixedly connected to the head portion of the slider and the bracket possesses an abutment, which over a distance of at least several millimetres resiliently rests against the inner surface of the leg of the curtain rail.
In this way, it is ensured that the pivoting of the head part of the slider in the curtain rail is positively prevented.
It should be noted that, in the presence of the wing, it is still possible to attach the slider from the lower side of the curtain rail in the curtain rail. Thus, it is not necessarily to slide the sliders from the end of the curtain rail into the curtain rail.
The invention is further elucidated on the basis of an embodiment, which is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which:
As shown in
The lips 4 are arranged for support of the head portion 5 of a slider 6. The head portion 5 serves for rotatably supporting of a suspension member 7, in which (not shown) a curtain hook can be connected.
The supporting part 5 is, in accordance with the invention, provided with a resilient wing 8, to which is positioned and rests against the inner surface 9 of a leg 3 of the curtain rail 1.
In the slider 10, the wing 8 of
It will be obvious, that only some possible embodiments of a slider according to the invention in the drawing have been shown and described above and that many modifications are possible without falling outside the inventive idea.
