DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 3 to 8, the slim water bottle 30 of the present invention comprises a body 31 having an open top 311. Two first snapping members 312 are connected to two outsides of the body 31. The body 31 can be made by metal or plastic, and the first snapping members 312 each have a slot 323 defined therethrough.

A top part 32 has a mounting portion 321 defined in the underside thereof. The top part 32 is mounted to the open top 311 of the body 31 by the mounting portion 321. A first seal ring 341 is located between the periphery of the mounting portion 321 and the periphery of the open top 311. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 5, the top part 32 has a groove 325 defined along the periphery of the mounting portion 321, and the first seal ring 341 is received in the groove 325. An outlet 324 is defined in the top of the top part 32 and communicates with the mounting portion 321 and the interior of the body 31. Two second snapping members 322 extend from two outsides of the mounting portion 321. The first snapping members 312 are snapped with the second snapping members 322. Specifically, the second snapping members 322 each are a plate which is engaged with the slot 323 corresponding thereto as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8.

As shown in FIGS. 6 and 11, a cap 33 is removably and pivotably connected to the top part 32 and covers the outlet 324. A second seal ring 342 is located between the outlet 324 and the cap 33. Specifically, the cap 33 has a tubular insertion 331 which is snugly inserted into the outlet 324, and the second seal ring 342 is mounted to the outside of the insertion 331. The cap 33 and the top part 32 can be made by metal or plastic. The top part 32 has a recessed area 326 in which the cap 33 is received. Each of two sidewalls of the recessed area 326 has a hole 327 defined therethrough. The cap 33 has two pivots 332 respectively extending from two sides thereof. The two pivots 332 are pivotably engaged with the two holes 327 in the two sidewalls of the recessed area 326. Each of the two sidewalls of the recessed area 326 has a recess 328 defined in the inside thereof. The cap 33 has two protrusions 333 respectively protruding from the two sides thereof, and the two protrusions 333 are engaged with the two recesses 328. The cap 33 has a lift portion 334 extending from the distal end thereof, the lift portion 334 contacts the outside of the top part 32 when the cap 33 is positioned at the locked position.

When in use, as shown in FIG. 12, the user lifts the lift portion 334 by a finger, the cap 33 is pivoted upward about the two pivots 332 so that the insertion 331 is removed from the outlet 324, so that the user can get the liquid in the body 31 from the outlet 324. When the cap 33 is pivoted downward again, the cap 33 is pivoted about the pivots 332 and the two protrusions 333 are engaged with the recesses 328 to well position the cap 33 relative to the outlet 324.
