Description

The invention refers to a small waist or shoulder (from one shoulder to the opposite side) bag, 100% waterproof, with built-in lifejacket which inflates automatically by pulling a cord.

The advantage of the product is that it addresses three problems simultaneously problems we might have when for whatever reason we find ourselves into the water, in the sea or the swimming pool. In particular, a swimmer is able to store discreetly (due to the small size of the item) valuable personal belongings (such as mobile phone, keys, money etc), secure from dampness or the danger of theft in case he is away. At the same time, he is given the opportunity to use the mobile phone or any music device while in the water (there is a waterproof jack for headphones), and most importantly he has the chance to save his life from drowning since the bag can be turned into a lifejacket immediately by pulling a cord.

The item consists of a small bag which is divided in two parts, in or next to the first part, sewn, glued or high frequency glued there is a 100% waterproof bag of any color which closes with two corrosion resistant rails that fasten perfectly with thumb screws, or can be folded and fastened with Velcro, in a way that the influx of water is impossible. In the second part, from top to bottom a folded lifejacket is placed which includes a carbon dioxide filled cartridge and its trigger mechanism. The mechanism connects the cartridge which is screwed on it with the inner part of the lifejacket through an enclosed air tight hole. It can be activated by the user by pulling a cord or belt, which pushes a piston that pierces the cartridge (4 to 8 liter capacity) pumping through the mechanism the air inside the lifejacket. There is also a mouth blowing device for air addition or as an alternative solution. After the use, the cartridge can be unscrewed in order to deflate the lifejacket and by screwing a new one, it can be reused as many times as it is required. The top part of the bag fastens with Velcro, so as to open easily when the lifejacket is inflated and be let loose.

The lifejacket is oblong and when blown out of the bag is held by one or two cords which are as long as the distance between the neck and the waist, in order to button around the neck, so as the user's head can stay afloat even in case of unconsciousness. The bag has a safety cord and a safety buckle.
