The present invention relates to a smoking device, and in particular to a smoking device that can also be used as a drinking cup.
A percentage of the population enjoys smoking. Smokers may smoke tobacco, marijuana, and/or herbs. Generally the tools and accessories used for smoking are dedicated just for the use of smoking. There is no known smoking device that can be used simultaneously for other purposes. In addition, smoking devices are generally not aesthetically pleasing. Also, some people may embarrassed by having smoking devices visible when others may visit.
Thus there is a need for a smoking device that overcomes the above listed and other disadvantages.
The disclosed invention relates to a smoking device comprising: a drinking mug, the drinking mug comprising: an inner wall; an internal chamber abutting the inner wall; an outer wall abutting the internal chamber; a volume configured to hold liquids for drinking by a user, the volume defined by the inner wall; a reservoir member located on the outer wall, extending away from the outer wall and extending away from the volume, where the internal chamber extends into the reservoir member, and where the reservoir member forms a reservoir on the reservoir member top surface, the reservoir configured to hold a product to be smoked; a mug handle attached to the side of the drinking mug, where the internal chamber extends into the mug handle; an intake hole located in the reservoir, and in fluid communication with the internal chamber; an outlet hole located on the mug handle, and in fluid communication with the internal chamber.
The invention also relates to a smoking device comprising: a drinking mug, the drinking mug comprising: an inner wall; an internal chamber abutting the inner wall; an outer wall abutting the internal chamber; a volume configured to hold liquids for drinking by a user, the volume defined by the inner wall; a reservoir member located on the outer wall, extending away from the outer wall and extending away from the volume, where the internal chamber extends into the reservoir member, and where the reservoir member forms a reservoir on the reservoir member top surface, the reservoir configured to hold a product to be smoked; an intake hole located in the reservoir, and in fluid communication with the internal chamber; an outlet hole located on the drinking mug, and in fluid communication with the internal chamber.
The present disclosure will be better understood by those skilled in the pertinent art by referencing the accompanying drawings, where like elements are numbered alike in the several figures, in which:
The disclosed invention is a device for the smoking of tobacco, marijuana, and/or herbal materials and for the consumption of liquids, such as, but not limited to water, tea, coffee, and more. The smoking device may have a single piece construction, and may be made of a variety of materials. The smoking device is constructed to include a hollow smoke exchange channel or void between the inside wall and outside wall of the cup. The dual wall construction allows a smoke exchange channel to transfer the smoke from an intake hole for the smoke to the output hole to withdraw the smoke. The smoking device has a reservoir for the holding and burning of the materials to be smoked, and an intake hole at the bottom of this reservoir to allow the burning smoke to be extracted, travel through the channel and then to be taken up at the opposite end at the intake hole by the user. The dual wall construction allows the insulation of hot or cold liquids within the cup area from being affected by the environment and protects the user from burning their hands from holding this hot liquid. The device may be made of different type materials, and may have many configurations, for design and/or aesthetic appeal.
The smoking device has an exchange channel built within the body of the device during manufacture. The manufacturing of the smoking device creates a generally airtight channel to allow the smoke to be withdrawn from the reservoir to the intake hole.
This airtight channel is formed by an inner wall and external wall. The inner wall and external wall form a cup or mug, which is insulated, by the two walls and the airspace contained within. This double wall construction allows the liquid within the cup area to maintain heat or cold, and allows the cup to be handled without discomfort or burning the users handed.
The smoking device 10 may comprise a removable lid 30, which has a removable top 32. Inside the removable lid 30 is a storage volume 34. A user may store the materials to smoke, matches, lighter, rolling papers and the like in the storage volume 34. The lid 30 may attach to the rim 62 or to the mug 58 adjacent to the rim 62 via an interference fit, or via threaded surfaces (not shown). The lid 30 comprises a bottom 38, and a side wall 40.
The disclosed smoking device has many advantages. The disclosed smoking device can be used simultaneously as a drinking device, and a device to smoke various products. The disclosed smoking device is aesthetically pleasing, and may have fun shapes such as animal shapes; sports or college mascots; mythical creatures such as but not limited to unicorns, Pegasus, elves; famous characters, etc. The smoking device does not appear at first glance to be a smoking device, but rather looks like a stylized drinking cup or mug, thus preventing embarrassment to smokers. The smoking device has a lid that allows one to store smoking products, rolling papers, lighter, matches, etc.
It should be noted that the terms “first”, “second”, and “third”, and the like may be used herein to modify elements performing similar and/or analogous functions. These modifiers do not imply a spatial, sequential, or hierarchical order to the modified elements unless specifically stated.
While the disclosure has been described with reference to several embodiments, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes may be made and equivalents may be substituted for elements thereof without departing from the scope of the disclosure. In addition, many modifications may be made to adapt a particular situation or material to the teachings of the disclosure without departing from the essential scope thereof. Therefore, it is intended that the disclosure not be limited to the particular embodiments disclosed as the best mode contemplated for carrying out this disclosure, but that the disclosure will include all embodiments falling within the scope of the appended claims.
