Claims
- 1. A snap-together poster frame system, comprising:
a plurality of segments having a slotted, channel-shaped cross-sectional profile to define an opening for receiving an edge of a poster board, said profile being resilient and having three flex points which allows said opening to adjust to the width of the posterboard inserted therein, thereby retaining the edge of the poster board via an interference fit.
- 2. The snap-together poster frame system according to claim 1, wherein said profile of said plurality of segments includes a centrally-located forward ridge.
- 3. The snap-together poster frame system according to claim 1, wherein said profile of said plurality of segments includes a step.
- 4. The snap-together poster frame system according to claim 1, wherein said plurality of segments are linear.
- 5. The snap-together poster frame system according to claim 1, wherein said plurality of segments include an over-hang and a substantially flat base.
- 6. The snap-together poster frame system according to claim 1, wherein said plurality of segments include an over-hang and a base having a shape which is a mirror-image of said overhang.
- 7. The snap-together poster frame system according to claim 1, further comprising at least one corner connector for connecting ends of said plurality of segments to one another.
- 8. The snap-together poster frame system according to claim 1, wherein said corner connector is made of a resilient material and having a substantially arcuate shape of slightly greater dimension than an outer shape of said plurality of segments, said corner connector having sufficient resiliency so that it is capable of snapping over and securely grabbing the outer shape of two segments of said plurality of segments.
- 9. The snap-together poster frame system according to claim 8, wherein said frame system includes four segments of said plurality of segments and four of said corner connectors.
- 10. The snap-together poster frame system according to claim 8, wherein said resilient material is a flexible plastic material.
- 11. The snap-together poster frame according to claim 1, further comprising at least one hinge connector for connecting corners of two of said snap-together poster frames.
- 12. The snap-together poster frame according to claim 11, wherein said hinge connector is comprised of two corner connectors, each of said corner connectors being made of a resilient material and having a substantially arcuate shape of slightly greater dimension than an outer shape of said plurality of segments, said corner connectors having sufficient resiliency so that it is capable of snapping over and securely grabbing the outer shape of two segments of said plurality of segments, said hinge connector further including a flexible attachment between said two corner connectors.
- 13. The snap-together poster frame system according to claim 12, wherein said resilient material is a flexible plastic material.
- 14. The snap-together poster frame according to claim 1, further comprising at least one end connector for connecting corners of two of said snap-together poster frames.
- 15. The snap-together poster frame according to claim 14, wherein said end connector is comprised of two linear segments in-line with one another, each of said linear segments being made of a resilient material and having a substantially arcuate shape of slightly greater dimension than an outer shape of said plurality of segments, said linear segments having sufficient resiliency so that it is capable of snapping over and securely grabbing the outer shape of two segments of said plurality of segments, said end connector further including a flexible attachment between said two linear segments.
- 16. The snap-together poster frame system according to claim 15, wherein said resilient material is a flexible plastic material.
- 17. The snap-together poster frame according to claim 1, further comprising at least one joiner hinge for connecting a mid-point of two sides of said snap-together poster frames.
- 18. The snap-together poster frame according to claim 17, wherein said joiner hinge is comprised of two linear segments parallel with one another, each of said linear segments being made of a resilient material and having a substantially arcuate shape of slightly greater dimension than an outer shape of said plurality of segments, said linear segments having sufficient resiliency so that it is capable of snapping over and securely grabbing the outer shape of two segments of said plurality of segments, said joiner hinge further including a flexible attachment between said two linear segments.
- 19. The snap-together poster frame system according to claim 18, wherein said resilient material is a flexible plastic material.
- 20. A hinge connector for a snap-together poster frame system comprising:
at least two snap-on connectors which are releasably connectable to separate frame systems; and a living hinge connecting said two snap-on connectors to, in turn, connect said separate frame systems together at a predetermined angle.
