a handle positioned at the at the opposing region from the third and fourth attachment locations where the handle is adapted to be grasped by the end-user, whereas, the second support member is adapted to pivot about the third and fourth attachment locations in a manner to where the central axis is adjacent to the snowboard when the apparatus is in the storage position and the second support member can further pivot about the third and fourth attachment locations so the second support member is substantially vertical and in an operative position.
- 3. The support apparatus as recited in claim 1 further comprising:
the said handle of the said support member having an adjustment mechanism to adjust the handle to a plurality of positions along the central axis.
- 4. The support apparatus as recited in claim 3 further comprising
the said handle been slidably connected to the said frame of the support member where the handle, a lodging that is a positions the handle at a position along the central axis of the support member.
- 5. The apparatus as recited in claim 1 further comprising
a tether operably attached to the apparatus where the tether has a connector that is adapted to be connected to the user.
- 6. A support apparatus adapted to be attached on a snowboard where the snowboard has an upper surface with a mounting region attached thereon, the support apparatus is adapted to support a user, the support apparatus comprising:
a mounting platform having a first lateral location and a second lateral location where the first and second lateral locations are located on laterally opposite sides of the mounting platform, a support surface located in the central portion of the mounting platform adapted to support the user, a support member having a central axis and a frame member, where the frame member has a first attachment location removably attached to the first lateral location of the mounting platform and a second attachment location removably attached to the second lateral location of the mounting platform and the support member comprising, a handle positioned at the opposing region from the first and second attachment locations and the handle adapted to be grasped by the user, whereas, the support member is adapted to the removably attached to the first and second attachment locations in a manner so the central axis of the support member is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the snowboard and a manner so the handle is a graspable distance from the support surface.
- 7. The support apparatus as recited in claim 6 further comprising;
a second mounting platform having a central portion that is adapted to support the user and further having a third lateral location and a fourth lateral location where the third and fourth lateral locations are located on laterally opposite sides of the second mounting platform, a second support member having a second central axis and a second frame member having a third attachment location pivotally attached to the third lateral location of the second mounting platform and a fourth attachment location pivotally attached to the fourth lateral location of the mounting platform and the second support member comprising
a handle positioned at the at the opposing region from the third and fourth attachment locations where the handle is adapted to be grasped by the end-user, whereas, the second support member is adapted to pivot about the third and fourth attachment locations in a manner to where the central axis is adjacent to the snowboard when the apparatus is in the storage position and the second support member can further pivot about the third and fourth attachment locations so the second support member is substantially vertical and in an operative position.
- 8. The support apparatus as recited in claim 6 further comprising:
the said handle of the said support member having an adjustment mechanism to adjust the handle to a plurality of positions along the central axis.
- 9. The support apparatus as recited in claim 8 further comprising
the said handle been slidably connected to the said frame of the support member where the handle, a lodging that is a positions the handle at a position along the central axis of the support member.
- 10. The apparatus as recited in claim 6 further comprising
a tether operably attached to the apparatus where the tether has a connector that is adapted to be connected to the user.
- 11. A method of controlling a snowboard by a user comprising the following steps
retrieving a modified snowboard with a support apparatus attached thereto where the support apparatus comprises;
a first support member attached to a mounting plate where the first support member comprises a handle that is adapted to be grasped by the user, a second support member attached to a second mounting plate where the second support member comprises a second handle that is adapted to be pressed by the user, a support surface adapted to support the footwear of the user where the footwear of the user is not bound into the snowboard, whereas, the first and second support members are adapted to be placed in tension when the user pulls upwardly upon the first and second handles thereby exerting a downward force upon the support surface.
- 12. The method of controlling a snowboard as recited in claim 11 further comprising:
whereas the first and second handles are adapted to be displaced laterally with respects to the user to facilitate turning.
- 13. Method of controlling a snowboard as recited in claim 11 where the first and second support members are pivotally attached to the mounting plate.
- 14. The method of controlling a snowboard as recited in claim 11 and where the first and second support members each comprises a central axis where when first and second support members are folded and a manner so the central axis is adjacent to the snowboard, the snowboard is and an a storage position.
