Claims
- 1. A snowmobile handlebar heater controller comprising:
- a heating element for heating a snowmobile handlebar;
- a solid state switching device for connection between a source of the AC power and the heating element, the switching device responsive to an input signal for delivering the source of power to the heating element;
- first voltage measuring means for measuring a portion of the voltage of the source of power and for providing a first control signal representative of the voltage of the source of power;
- second voltage measuring means for measuring a portion of the voltage across the heating element for providing a second control signal representative of the voltage across the heating element; and
- electrical signal comparing means for comparing the first control signal and the second control signal, the signal comparing means providing an input signal to the switching device.
- 2. The controller as recited in claim 1, further comprising a first signal varying means operable with the first voltage measuring means for varying the first control signal.
- 3. The controller as recited in claim 1, further comprising a second signal varying means operable with the second voltage measuring means for varying the second control signal.
