Abstract
The present invention relates to a soap bar holder device that can securely store at least one bar of soap. The device has at least one soap bar holder that is attached to and repositionable on a vertical shaft. The device can be secured to a shower wall or bathtub surface via a fastener that is attached to and repositionable on the vertical shaft.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to the field of soap holders. More specifically, the present invention relates to a soap bar holder device that can securely store at least one bar of soap. The device has at least one soap bar holder that is attached to and repositionable on a vertical shaft. The device can be secured to a shower wall or bathtub surface via a fastener that is attached to and repositionable on the vertical shaft. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.


BACKGROUND

Many individuals shower or bathe using a bar of soap. Said soap bars are typically stored within a shower or a bathtub. However, bars of soap may become slippery when stored within a shower or bathtub and as a result, may consistently fall from the surface they are stored on in the shower or bathtub. In addition, it may be inconvenient to store multiple bars of soap for multiple different users within a small shower or bathtub.


Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a device for holding at least one bar of soap. More specifically, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a soap bar holder device that can be used in a shower or a bathtub to store at least one bar of soap. In addition, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a soap bar holder device that can be used in a shower or a bathtub to store multiple bars of soap for multiple different individuals. Furthermore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a soap bar holder device that can be used in a shower or a bathtub to store at least one bar of soap wherein the bar of soap is secured and cannot fall in the shower or bathtub when it becomes slippery.


The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a soap bar holder device. The device is primarily comprised of at least one vertical shaft with at least one fastener and at least one soap bar holder comprised of a lid. The device can be secured to a shower wall or bathtub surface via the fastener, wherein the fastener is preferably a suction cup. In one embodiment, the fastener is repositionable around the vertical shaft via a ring. The soap bar holder can receive one bar of soap and may be repositionable around the vertical shaft via a ring. The soap bar can be protected from water when not in use via the lid of the soap bar holder.


In this manner, the soap bar holder device of the present invention accomplishes all the foregoing objectives and provides a soap bar holder device that can be used in a shower or a bathtub to store one or multiple bars of soap for multiple different individuals. In addition, the soap bar holder keeps the soap secured and prevents the bar from falling within the shower or bathtub when stored within the holder.


SUMMARY

The following presents a simplified summary to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.


The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a soap bar holder device primarily comprised of at least one vertical shaft with at least one fastener and at least one soap bar holder comprised of a lid and a drainage hole. The vertical shaft receives the soap bar holder. During use, the vertical shaft may be upright and perpendicular to the surface the device is secured to. The shaft is comprised of a first end and a second end wherein either or both ends may be comprised of at least one fastener. The fastener allows the device to be secured to any surface (such as, but not limited to, a shower wall, a bathroom counter, etc.).


The shaft also houses at least one soap bar holder. In one embodiment, the device has a plurality of holders disposed radially around the shaft at fixed heights and positions. In another embodiment, the holder is removably slid over the shaft via at least one ring that is fixedly attached to the holder, such that the holder can spin 360 degrees around the shaft to allow multiple holders to be positioned such that they are each accessible for multiple users.


Each holder is comprised of a body that can accommodate at least one bar of soap. The body may have at least one drainage hole to allow any liquid to drain from the body from a bar of soap being stored in the body after said bar of soap has been used. The body is attached to at least one lid via at least one hinge. When a soap bar is being stored within the body, the lid can be closed and secured to the body via at least one fastener.


The present invention is also comprised of a method of using the device. First, a device is provided comprised of a vertical shaft, a fastener, and a soap bar holder comprised of a body. Next, the device can be secured to a surface via the fastener. Then, a bar of soap can be stored within the body of the device. As a result, the device allows multiple users to store their individual bars of soap in one centralized location via the device.


Accordingly, the soap bar holder device of the present invention is particularly advantageous as it provides a soap bar holder device that can be used in a shower or a bathtub to store one or multiple bars of soap for multiple different individuals. In addition, the soap bar holder keeps the soap secured and prevents the bar from falling within the shower or bathtub when stored within the holder. In this manner, the soap bar holder device overcomes the limitations of existing methods and devices used to store soap bars known in the art.


To the accomplishment of the foregoing and related ends, certain illustrative aspects of the disclosed innovation are described herein in connection with the following description and the annexed drawings. These aspects are indicative, however, of but a few of the various ways in which the principles disclosed herein can be employed and are intended to include all such aspects and their equivalents. Other advantages and novel features will become apparent from the following detailed description when considered in conjunction with the drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The innovation is now described with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals are used to refer to like elements throughout. In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth to provide a thorough understanding thereof. It may be evident, however, that the innovation can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are shown in block diagram form to facilitate a description thereof. Various embodiments are discussed hereinafter. It should be noted that the figures are described only to facilitate the description of the embodiments. They are not intended as an exhaustive description of the invention and do not limit the scope of the invention. Additionally, an illustrated embodiment need not have all the aspects or advantages shown. Thus, in other embodiments, any of the features described herein from different embodiments may be combined.


As noted above, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a device for holding at least one bar of soap. More specifically, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a soap bar holder device that can be used in a shower or a bathtub to store at least one bar of soap. In addition, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a soap bar holder device that can be used in a shower or a bathtub to store multiple bars of soap for multiple different individuals. Furthermore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a soap bar holder device that can be used in a shower or a bathtub to store at least one bar of soap wherein the bar of soap is secured and cannot fall in the shower or bathtub when it becomes slippery.


The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is comprised of a soap bar holder device primarily comprised of at least one vertical shaft with at least one fastener and at least one soap bar holder comprised of a lid and a drainage hole. The vertical shaft receives the soap bar holder. During use, the vertical shaft may be upright and perpendicular to the surface the device is secured to. The shaft is comprised of a first end and a second end wherein either or both ends may be comprised of at least one fastener that allows the device to be secured to any surface (such as, but not limited to, a shower wall, a bathroom counter, etc.).


The shaft also houses at least one soap bar holder. In one embodiment, the device has a plurality of holders disposed radially around the shaft at fixed heights and positions. In another embodiment, the holder is removably slid over the shaft via at least one ring that is fixedly attached to the holder, such that the holder can spin 360 degrees around the shaft to allow multiple holders to be positioned such that they are each accessible for multiple users.


Each holder is comprised of a body that can accommodate at least one bar of soap. The body may have at least one drainage hole. The drainage hole allows any liquid to drain from the body from a bar of soap being stored in the body after said bar of soap has been used. The body is attached to at least one lid via at least one hinge, such that the lid can be closed and secured to the body via a fastener when a soap bar is being stored within the body.


The present invention is also comprised of a method of using the device. First, a device is provided comprised of a vertical shaft, a fastener, and a soap bar holder comprised of a body. Next, the device can be secured to a surface via the fastener. Then, a bar of soap can be stored within the body of the device. As a result, the device allows multiple users to store their individual bars of soap in one centralized location via the device.


Accordingly, the soap bar holder device of the present invention is particularly advantageous as it provides a soap bar holder device that can be used in a shower or a bathtub to store one or multiple bars of soap for multiple different individuals. In addition, the soap bar holder keeps the soap secured and prevents the bar from falling within the shower or bathtub when stored within the holder. In this manner, the soap bar holder device overcomes the limitations of existing methods and devices used to store soap bars known in the art.


Referring initially to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of one potential embodiment of a soap bar holder device 100 of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The device 100 is primarily comprised of at least one vertical shaft 110 with at least one fastener 112 and at least one soap bar holder 140 comprised of a lid 160 and a drainage hole 152. The device 100 and all components are preferably comprised of a waterproof plastic or waterproof metal material.


The device 100 is comprised of at least one vertical shaft 110. The vertical shaft 110 receives the soap bar holder 140 of the device 100. The vertical shaft 110 is preferably cylindrical in shape (although it may be any shape) and may be any height to accommodate any number of soap bar holders 140 and fasteners 112. During use, the vertical shaft 110 may be upright and perpendicular to the surface the device 100 is secured to. Alternatively, the shaft 110 may be parallel to the surface the device 100 is secured to.


The shaft 110 is comprised of a first end 120 and a second end 130. Either or both ends may be comprised of at least one fastener 112. In addition, fasteners may be placed on the central body 116 of the shaft 110. The fastener 112 allows the device 100 to be secured to any surface 10 (such as, but not limited to, a shower wall, a bathroom counter, etc.). The fastener 112 is preferably a suction cup, but may be any fastener known in the art such as, but not limited to, adhesive, magnetic, a hook, etc.


In one embodiment, the fastener 112 is fixedly attached to the shaft 110. In another embodiment, the fastener 112 removably slides onto the shaft 110 via at least one ring 114 that is fixedly attached to the fastener 112. In this manner, a user can configure the device 100 with fasteners 112 in specific areas for specific positioning within a shower or bathroom.


The shaft 110 also houses at least one soap bar holder 140. In one embodiment, the device 100 has a plurality of holders 140 disposed radially around the shaft 110 at fixed heights and positions. In another embodiment, the holder 140 is removably slid over the shaft 110 via at least one ring 142 that is fixedly attached to the holder 140. The ring 142 allows the holder 140 to spin 360 degrees around the shaft 110 to allow multiple holders 140 to be positioned such that they are each accessible for multiple users.


Each holder 140 is comprised of a body 150. The body 150 is preferably any shape that can accommodate at least one bar of soap 12. The body 150 may have at least one drainage hole 152 to allow any liquid to drain from the body 150 from a bar of soap being stored in the body 150 after said bar of soap has been used. The body 150 is attached to at least one lid 160 via at least one hinge 170, as seen in FIG. 2. When a soap bar is being stored within the body 150, the lid 160 can be closed and secured to the body 150 via at least one fastener 162 such as, but not limited to, a snap fastener.


In an embodiment of the device 100 with removable/repositionable fasteners 112 and holders 140, the device 100 may also be comprised of at least one spacer ring 180. The ring 180 can be slid over the shaft 110 to create space between two holders 140, two fasteners 112, etc., such that the spacer ring 180 and rings 114,142 of the holder 140 and fastener 112 become stacked. This configuration allows a user to further customize the height and positioning of each holder 140 and fastener 112 on the shaft 110 during use.



FIG. 3 illustrates a flowchart of a method of using 200 one potential embodiment of a soap bar holder device 100 of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The present invention is also comprised of a method of using 200 the device 100. First, a device 100 is provided comprised of a vertical shaft 110, a fastener 112, and a soap bar holder 140 comprised of a body 150 [Step 202]. Next, the device 100 can be secured to a surface 10 via the fastener 112 [Step 204]. Then, a bar of soap 12 can be stored within the body 150 of the device 100 [Step 206]. As a result, the device 100 allows multiple users to store their individual bars of soap 12 in one centralized location via the device 100.


Certain terms are used throughout the following description and claims to refer to particular features or components. As one skilled in the art will appreciate, different persons may refer to the same feature or component by different names. This document does not intend to distinguish between components or features that differ in name but not structure or function. As used herein “soap bar holder device” and “device” are interchangeable and refer to the soap bar holder device 100 of the present invention.


Notwithstanding the foregoing, the soap bar holder device 100 of the present invention and its various components can be of any suitable size and configuration as is known in the art without affecting the overall concept of the invention, provided that they accomplish the above-stated objectives. One of ordinary skill in the art will appreciate that the size, configuration, and material of the soap bar holder device 100 as shown in the FIGS. are for illustrative purposes only, and that many other sizes and shapes of the soap bar holder device 100 are well within the scope of the present disclosure. Although the dimensions of the soap bar holder device 100 are important design parameters for user convenience, the soap bar holder device 100 may be of any size, shape, and/or configuration that ensures optimal performance during use and/or that suits the user's needs and/or preferences.


Various modifications and additions can be made to the exemplary embodiments discussed without departing from the scope of the present invention. While the embodiments described above refer to particular features, the scope of this invention also includes embodiments having different combinations of features and embodiments that do not include all the described features. Accordingly, the scope of the present invention is intended to embrace all such alternatives, modifications, and variations as fall within the scope of the claims, together with all equivalents thereof.

Furthermore, to the extent that the term “includes” is used in either the detailed description or the claims, such term is intended to be inclusive in a manner similar to the term “comprising” as “comprising” is interpreted when employed as a transitional word in a claim.

Claims
  • 1. A soap bar holder device comprising: a vertical shaft;a fastener attached to the vertical shaft; anda soap bar holder attached to the vertical shaft, the soap bar holder comprised of a body.
  • 2. The soap bar holder device of claim 1, wherein the fastener is comprised of a suction cup.
  • 3. The soap bar holder device of claim 1, wherein the fastener is comprised of a hook.
  • 4. The soap bar holder device of claim 1, wherein the fastener is comprised of a magnet or an adhesive.
  • 5. The soap bar holder device of claim 1, wherein the body is comprised of a drainage hole.
  • 6. The soap bar holder device of claim 1, wherein the fastener is positioned at an end of the vertical shaft.
  • 7. The soap bar holder device of claim 1, wherein the fastener is positioned at a central area of the vertical shaft.
  • 8. A soap bar holder device comprising: a vertical shaft;a fastener comprised of a first ring; anda soap bar holder comprised of a second ring, a body, a lid, and a hinge.
  • 9. The soap bar holder device of claim 8 further comprised of a spacer.
  • 10. The soap bar holder device of claim 9, wherein the spacer is comprised of a spacer ring.
  • 11. The soap bar holder device of claim 8, wherein the hinge attaches to the lid to the body.
  • 12. The soap bar holder device of claim 8, wherein the lid is secured to the body via a fastener.
  • 13. The soap bar holder device of claim 8, wherein the body is comprised of a drainage hole.
  • 14. The soap bar holder device of claim 8, wherein the fastener is comprised of a suction cup.
  • 15. The soap bar holder device of claim 8, wherein the fastener is comprised of a hook.
  • 16. The soap bar holder device of claim 8, wherein the fastener is comprised of a magnet or an adhesive.
  • 17. A method of using a soap bar holder device, the method comprising the steps of: providing a soap bar holder device comprised of a vertical shaft, a fastener, and a soap bar holder comprised of a body;securing the soap bar holder device to a surface via the fastener; andstoring a bar of soap within the soap bar holder.
  • 18. The method of claim 17, wherein the soap bar holder is repositionable on the vertical shaft.
  • 19. The method of claim 17, wherein the fastener is repositionable on the vertical shaft.
  • 20. The method of claim 17, wherein the soap bar holder is comprised of a drainage hole.
