The disclosure and prior art relates to bathing wands and more particularly pertains to a new bathing wand for scrubbing hard-to-reach areas.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a tube that is arcuate. A housing is coupled to and extends from a first end of the tube. The housing comprises an annular wall that is coupled to and extends between a top and a bottom. The top and the bottom are circularly shaped. The housing is externally threaded adjacent to the bottom. Each of a plurality of attachments is positioned to selectively couple to the housing. The attachments are configured to scrub a body of a user. The tube is configured to be grasped in a hand of the user to position the housing proximate to hard-to-reach areas of the body of the user. A respective attachment that is positioned on the housing is configured to scrub the body of the user.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
In one embodiment, the tube 12 is substantially circularly shaped when viewed longitudinally. In another embodiment, the housing 14 defines an interior space 26 so that the housing 14 is configured to position liquid soap in the interior space 26.
A plurality of holes 28 is positioned in the bottom 24 of the housing 14. The holes 28 are configured to allow flow of the liquid soap through the bottom 24 of the housing 14. In one embodiment, the plurality of holes 28 comprises four holes 28.
The plurality of attachments 16 is complementary to the bottom 24 of the housing 14. The attachments 16 are configured to scrub the body of the user. Each attachment 16 is positioned to selectively fluidically couple to the housing 14. A respective attachment 16 is positioned on the housing 14 so that the respective attachment 16 is configured to scrub the body of the user.
In one embodiment, each attachment 16 comprises a ring 30, a plate 32 and a tool 34. The ring 30 is complementary to the bottom 24 of the housing 14. The plate 32 has a first face 36 that is coupled to a terminus 38 of the ring 30. A plurality of orifices 40 is positioned through the plate 32. The plurality of orifices 40 is configured to allow flow of the liquid soap through the plate 32. The tool 34 is coupled to and extends from a second face 42 of the plate 32. The tool 34 is water permeable. The tool 34 is configured to scrub the body of the user. In another embodiment, the tool 34 comprises sponge. In yet another embodiment, the tool 34 comprises natural sponge. In still yet another embodiment, the tool 34 comprises a plurality of bristles 44.
A grip 46 is coupled to the tube 12 proximate to a second end 54 of the tube 12. The grip 46 is configured to be grasped in a hand of a user. In one embodiment, the grip 46 comprises rubber.
A penetration 48 is positioned in the top 22 of the housing 14. The penetration 48 is internally threaded. The penetration 48 is configured to add the liquid soap to the interior space 26. A plug 50 that is complementary to the penetration 48 is configured to reversibly couple to the housing 14 to close the penetration 48.
A connector 52 is coupled to the second end 54 of the tube 12. The connector 52 is configured to couple the tube 12 to a surface proximate to a bathing area, such as a shower enclosure. In one embodiment, the connector 52 comprises a strap 60 that has opposing ends 56. Each opposing end 56 is coupled to the second end 54 of the tube 12 to define a loop 58. The loop 58 is configured to insert a hook that is coupled to the surface proximate to the bathing area to couple the tube 12 to the surface proximate to the bathing area. In another embodiment, the strap 60 comprises rubber.
In use, the penetration 48 that is positioned in the housing 14 is configured to add the liquid soap to the interior space 26. The grip 46 that is positioned on the tube 12 is configured to be grasped in the hand of the user to position the housing 14 proximate to the hard-to-reach areas of the body of the user, such as the back of the user. The holes 28 that are positioned in the housing 14 are configured to allow flow of the liquid soap through the bottom 24 of the housing 14. The plurality of orifices 40 that is positioned through the plate 32 is configured to allow flow of the liquid soap through the plate 32. The tool 34 that is positioned on the plate 32 is configured to scrub the body of the user. The loop 58 that is positioned on the tube 12 configured to insert the hook that is coupled to the surface proximate to the bathing area to couple the tube 12 to the surface proximate to the bathing area.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
