Claims
- 1. A solid coating composition suitable for a textile floor covering, consisting essentially of an unfunctionalized atactic polyolefin, a functionalized atactic polyolefin, and a filler, wherein said functionalized atactic polyolefin consists of atactic polyolefin grafted with an unsaturated organic acid or an unsaturated organic acid anhydride to yield a polyolefin with an acid number of 2-40 mg KOH/g.
- 2. A solid coating composition suitable for a textile floor covering, consisting essentially of an unfunctionalized atactic polyolefin, a functionalized atactic polyolefin, a filler, and a member selected from the group consisting of wax, aliphatic hydrocarbon resin and isotactic polypropylene (IPP), wherein said functionalized atactic polyolefin consists of an atactic polyolefin grafted with an unsaturated organic acid or an unsaturated organic acid anhydride to yield a polyolefin with an acid number of 2-40 mg KOH/g.
- 3. A solid coating composition suitable for a textile floor covering, consisting essentially of an unfunctionalized atactic polyolefin, a functionalized atactic polyolefin, a filler, and 3 to 5% isotactic polypropylene having a MFI 190/5 of 70 g/10 min, wherein said functionalized atactic polyolefin consists of an atactic polyolefin grafted with an unsaturated organic acid or an unsaturated organic acid anhydride to yield a polyolefin with an acid number of 2-40 mg KOH/g.
- 4. The polyolefin of claim 1, wherein the acid number is 3 to 10 mg KOH/g.
- 5. The polyolefin of claim 1, wherein the maleic anhydride content is 0.26 to 0.9 wt. %.
- 6. The functionalized atactic polyolefin of claim 1, wherein the melt viscosity at 190.degree. C. is in the range of 300 to 60,000 mPa s.
- 7. The polyolefin of claim 6, wherein the melt viscosity at 190.degree. C. is in the range of 5,000 to 20,000 mPa s.
- 8. The composition of claim 1, wherein the filler is present in said composition in an amount of from 50 to 85 wt. %.
- 9. The composition of claim 1, wherein the filler is selected from the group consisting of limestone, barite and mica.
