Abstract
A novel form of Mylar bag with air valve is disclosed. The bag provides air valve so air can be removed by using simple air pump. The bag assembly is easy to use and reduces the nuisance of using various types of oxygen absorbers or any other similar supplies. The assembly allows safe retention of food while providing additional layers of protection from moisture, light, and odor.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

This invention relates to an sous vide mylar bags that has a valve element which enables the pouch to be vacuumed with the help of an air pump.


DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART

Polyalkylene terephthalate films have been known to the prior art, and have previously been used for packaging applications. When the term polyalkylene terephthalate” is used in the present specification, it is to be understood to apply to polymeric linear terephthalate esters formed by reacting a glycol of the series attractive polyalkylene terephthalate material is polyethylene I terephthalate, such as the product sold under the commercial trade name Mylar. Polyethylene terephthalate is generally produced by an ester interchange between ethylene glycol and dimethyl terephthalate to form bis-2-hydroxy ethyl terephthalate monomer, which is polymerized under reduced pressure and elevated temperature to polyethylene terephthalate. The alkylene terephthalate polyesters may be readily formed into films, for example, by melt casting or by tubular blown film extrusion.


The polyalkylene terephthalate films which are used in the shrink-packaging field are films which have been oriented and heat set at elevated temperatures and restrained shrinkage. Polyethylene terephthalate film in substantially amorphous form may be oriented, for example, by stretching the film substantially equally in both linear directions, generally about 2 to 3%-fold. Generally, heat setting of the film is accomplished after the orientation and is accomplished while maintaining the film under tension at a temperature above 100 C. Polyalkylene terephthalate films which are not heat shrinkable also find application in the packaging field.


The polyester films produced from polyalkylene terephthalates are not heat scalable,” in the sense that that term is used in the packaging field. The adhesive force developed between contacting layers of the polyester film during heat sealing treatments is not of sufficient strength for shrink packaging applications. However, it should be realized that the polyalkylene terephthalate films might be classified as heat sealable for other applications wherein different requirements prevail.


The prior art has produced polyalkylene terephthalate film bags for packaging applications by simultaneously applying the bottom seal adhesive and the longitudinal (back or side) seal adhesive to a flat sheet of the plastic film. The film sheet is then folded and thus adhered into the desired bag shape. Prior art polyalkylene terephthalate adhesives are disclosed by, for example, US. Pat. Nos. 2,820,735; 2,161,365 and 3,022,192,


There are multiple solutions that have been presented in prior art regarding bringing advancements in various types of Mylar bags. Mylar bags are amazing for long term food storage and are a great complement to vacuum sealing. Mylar bag films offer an extremely low Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) due to its thick foil laminate layer. Providing three layers of protection from moisture, light, and odor. Mylar is extremely flexible and thin, while also being very strong and durable. It is puncture-resistant and easy to use. The opacity of the bag will also preserve the nutrients of food.


There are multiple products that are available in similar regards however these solutions are limited and restricted to their conventional systems. The current invention is focused on presenting an ergonomic mylar bag with air valve to vacuum the bag with the help of an air pump, while also being economical to manufacture, reliable, and able to satisfy the performance expectations of the end user.


None of the previous inventions and patents, taken either singly or in combination, is seen to describe the instant invention as claimed. Hence, the inventor of the present invention proposes to resolve and surmount existent technical difficulties to eliminate the aforementioned shortcomings of prior art.


SUMMARY

In light of the disadvantages of the prior art, the following summary is provided to facilitate an understanding of some of the innovative features unique to the present invention and is not intended to be a full description. A full appreciation of the various aspects of the invention can be gained by taking the entire specification, claims, drawings, and abstract as a whole.


The primary desirable object of the present invention is to provide a novel and improved form of ergonomic Mylar bag with valve to vacuum the bag with the help of an air pump.


It is also the primary objective of the invention to provide a Mylar bag with valve which provides an extremely low Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) due to its thick foil laminate layer.


It is another objective of the invention to provide a main assembly of Mylar bag which provides advance level of protection from moisture, light, and odor.


It is also the object of the invention to provide an assembly which preserves the food and nutrient over longer period of time in air free environment.


It is further the objective of invention to provide bag with air valve which for consumers who don’t want to use oxygen absorbers or any other packets to achieve vacuum seal bag.


It is also the object of the invention to provide a bag with air valve which is made of reliable construction and are good to use for long term.


Other aspects, advantages and novel features of the present invention will become apparent from the detailed description of the invention when considered in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

The present invention is directed to a Mylarbag with air valve to achieve bag with no air, while also being economical to manufacture, reliable, and able to satisfy the performance expectations of the end user.


The product is designed in form of a rectangular periphery with a top part designed to receive the food. The air valve can be connected with any air pump to remove air from the bag.


Once the bag is ready to be used, the product may be loaded through the open end, and the bag then air evacuated and closed, for instance, by means of air valve. The bag maintains the product taste and preserves the nutrients of food.


The bag as per its further embodiments can be used for packaging of food products, medical and pharmaceutical items, prevents corrosion of ferrous objects, such as nuts and bolts and can be used for storage of storage of herbs and spices.


While a specific embodiment has been shown and described, many variations are possible. With time, additional features may be employed. The particular shape or configuration of the platform or the interior configuration may be changed to suit the system or equipment with which it is used.

Therefore, it is not intended that the scope of the invention be limited to the specific embodiment illustrated and described. Claims
  • 1. A polyalkylene terephthalate film bag suitable for packaging, said bag comprising unoriented polyalkylene terephthalate film in the shape of an open-end bag, at least one edge of the bag being formed by adhering the polyalkylene terephthalate film to itself, the adhesive used to adhere said polyalkylene terephthalate film is the combination of Aluminum foil and Poly Ethylene.
  • 2. The product claimed in claim 1, wherein said polyalkylene terephthalate film bag is polyethylene terephthalate film bag, and each adhesive band is at least one-eighth inch wide.
  • 3. The product as claimed in claim 1, wherein said bag is made of a combination of Aluminum foil and Poly Ethylene.
  • 4. The product as claimed in claim 1, wherein said bag’s air valve can be used easily with any type of air pump.
