- 13. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein said sectioning blade has a cutting edge, a first portion of the cutting edge provided with a sharp slicing edge and a second portion of the cutting edge having a dull edge, such that the cutting edge sections the meat without cutting the conveyor and without cutting the peel enough to decouple it from the conveyor.
- 14. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein said sectioning blade has a second cutting edge, reversibly symmetric to the first cutting edge, wherein the sectioning blade is removable and reversible.
- 15. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the conveyor comprises:
- a suction cup assembly and;
- a vacuum source coupled to the suction cup assembly, configured to selectively apply a vacuum to the suction cup assembly so as to couple it to the peel, and selectively vent the suction cup assembly so as to decouple it from the peel.
- 16. The apparatus of claim 15, wherein the suction cup assembly includes a sealable valve configured to establish a coupling by applying suction from the vacuum source between the suction cup assembly and the fruit when the valve seal is broken.
- 17. The apparatus of claim 15, wherein the valve is integral with a spring-loaded finger configured to eject the peel from the suction cup assembly when the suction cup assembly is decoupled, the finger breaking the valve seal when the fruit is disposed in the suction cup assembly, and the finger establishing the valve seal when the fruit is not disposed in the suction cup assembly.
- 18. The apparatus of claim 15, wherein the suction cup assembly includes a finger configured to eject the peel from the suction cup assembly when the suction cup assembly is decoupled.
