Description
BACKGROUND
Field of Invention

The invention is related to a spike structure, and more particularly to a spike structure of golf shoes with deformation effect.

Description of Related Art

Golf is a kind of recreational, competitive sporting activity, it is played by hitting the ball into the distant hole, so golf course is usually built in the field. In order to increase its difficulty, different terrains and fields of different natures (such as bunker area, fairway area, rough area, etc.) are designed on the golf course. Since it is better for the golfer to stand on the golf course stably when hitting the ball, the soles of general golf shoes are provided with spikes or studs to provide better friction. For example, the Taiwan patent application No. 099211622 (later issued as utility patent No. M390680) provides a “shoe body structure with spikes”. In order to achieve a better grip effect on the ground in this patent, the spikes are designed as a plurality of spike claws arranged in a ring-shaped structure or an annular structure, and each the spikes is made of wear-resistant and high-hardness material to provide the spikes with sufficient strength and wear resistance.

However, when the spikes of the prior patent are used in the bunker area, although the effect of sufficient grip on the ground can be achieved by setting the material with high hardness, when used in the fairway area, the spike claw structure with high hardness penetrates deeply into the soil under the grass to produce a good grip on the ground, thus a small piece of turf will be dug out and damaged by the spikes at the moment of exerting a force on the ground while hitting the ball.

SUMMARY

An object of the invention is to provide a spike structure of golf shoes with deformation effect capable of maintaining a proper grip on the ground without damaging a turf due to excessive exerted force when being used on a field without small stones, and providing a better grip on the ground when being used on a field with small stones.

In order to achieve the aforementioned object, the invention is a spike structure of golf shoes with deformation effect applicable for disposing on a sole, the sole has a joint column facing downward, the spike structure of golf shoes with deformation effect comprises: a spike disk made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), and having a disk ring portion disposed on the joint column, and a pressed portion connected to an inner rim of the disk ring portion and attached to a bottom of the joint column, the pressed portion is capable of actuating between a normal position and a pressed position of being pressed and deformed toward a direction of the sole; and a plurality of spike claws made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), and radially arranged on the disk ring portion of the spike disk and extending outwardly and downwardly, each of the spike claws has a connecting portion connected to an outer rim of the disk ring portion, and a claw portion connected to the connecting portion.

Efficacies of the invention lie in: through a structural design of the spike disk, each of the spike claws is actuated or not actuated in conjunction with different positions of the pressed portion of the spike disk, that is, when the invention is used on a field with small stones, such as bunker area, fairway area with small stones, rough area with small stones, the pressed portion of the spike disk contacts with the small stones, the pressed portion is compressed by the small stones to deform toward the sole, and the deformed pressed portion causes the disk ring portion and each of the spike claws to deform synchronously, and causes the claw portion of each of the spike claws to retract and deform synchronously inwardly in order to provide better grip effect on the ground and prevent slipping effectively. When the invention is used on a field without small stones, such as green or fairway area without small stones, the pressed portion of the spike disk is not pressed, the pressed portion of the spike disk is in the normal position, so that the claw portion of each of the spike claws restores to its original shape. When the claw portion of each of the spike claws is in contact with a field without small stones, the claw portion of each of the spike claws expands outward, maintaining a proper grip on the ground without damaging the turf due to excessive exerted force.

Preferably, wherein when the pressed portion of the spike disk is in the normal position and the claw portion of each of the spike claws is pressed by an upward force, the claw portion of each of the spike claws expands outward.

Preferably, wherein the pressed portion of the spike disk is capable of automatically restoring to the normal position from the pressed position.

Preferably, wherein the joint column of the sole has a ring side and a bottom side, the disk ring portion is disposed on the ring side of the joint column, and the pressed portion is disposed on the bottom side of the joint column.

Preferably, wherein the spike disk further has a joint ring portion disposed on the inner rim of the disk ring portion and located above the pressed portion, a joint groove for the joint column to insert partially therein is formed between the joint ring portion and the pressed portion, and the joint ring portion is disposed on the ring side of the joint column of the sole.

Preferably, wherein the pressed portion of the spike disk has a plurality of ribs radiating outwardly from a center.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Please refer to FIGS. 1A to 2, one embodiment of the invention provides a spike structure of golf shoes with deformation effect applicable for disposing on a sole 10, the sole 10 has a downwardly facing joint column 11, and the sole 10 is made of TPE or EVA material, but it is not limited thereto. In this embodiment, a structure of a spike 100 is integrally formed with the sole 10, so that the spike 100 will not fall off from the sole 10, but it is not limited thereto. FIG. 2 only shows a part of a structure of the sole 10, and the single joint column 11 is used for illustration. The joint column 11 of the sole 10 has a ring side 111 and a bottom side 112. The spike structure of golf shoes with deformation effect is mainly composed of a spike disk 20 and nine spike claws 30.

Wherein the spike disk 20 is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), and has a disk ring portion 21 disposed on the joint column 11, and a pressed portion 22 connected to an inner rim 211 of the disk ring portion 21 and attached to a bottom of the joint column 11. The pressed portion 22 is capable of actuating between a normal position (as shown in FIG. 1B) and a pressed position (as shown in FIG. 3B and FIG. 4) of being pressed and deformed toward a direction of the sole 10. In this embodiment, a hardness of the spike disk 20 is higher than a hardness of the sole 10, but is not limited thereto. The disk ring portion 21 is disposed on the ring side 111 of the joint column 11, the pressed portion 22 protrudes downward from the inner rim 211 of the disk ring portion 21 and is disposed on the bottom side 112 of the joint column 11, and the pressed portion 22 has a plurality of ribs 221 radiating outwardly from a center. Please refer to FIG. 1A and FIG. 2. In addition, the spike disk 20 further has a joint ring portion 23 disposed on the inner rim 211 of the disk ring portion 21 and located above the pressed portion 22, a joint groove 24 for the joint column 11 to insert partially therein is formed between the joint ring portion 23 and the pressed portion 22, and the joint ring portion 23 is disposed on the ring side 111 of the joint column 11 of the sole 10. Furthermore, when an external force is removed, the pressed portion 22 of the spike disk 20 is capable of automatically restoring to the normal position (FIG. 1B) from the pressed position (FIG. 3B).

Each of the spike claws 30 is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), and radially arranged on the disk ring portion 21 of the spike disk 20 and extends outwardly and downwardly. Each of the spike claws 30 has a connecting portion 31 connected to an outer rim 212 of the disk ring portion 21, and a claw portion 32 connected to the connecting portion 31. In this embodiment, each of the spike claws 30 and the spike disk are integrally formed and made of a same material, but the invention is not limited thereto.

Thereby, when the pressed portion 22 of the spike disk 20 is in the pressed position (as shown in FIG. 3A, FIG. 3B and FIG. 4), each of the spike claws 30 is driven by the pressed portion 22 being pressed and deformed toward a direction of the sole 10 to deform synchronously, and the claw portion 32 of each of the spike claws 30 retracts inwardly. When the pressed portion 22 of the spike disk 20 is in the normal position (as shown in FIG. 1A, FIG. 1B and FIG. 2), the claw portion 32 of each of the spike claws 30 restores to its original shape. When the pressed portion 22 of the spike disk 20 is in the normal position and the claw portion 32 of each of the spike claws 30 is pressed by an upward external force (as shown in FIG. 5A, FIG. 5B and FIG. 6), the claw portion 32 of each of the spike claws 30 expands outward.

The above is the description of each main component of the embodiment of the invention. Description of mode of action and efficacies of the invention is provided hereinafter.

Please refer to FIG. 3A, FIG. 3B and FIG. 4. When the invention is used on a field 90 with small stones 91, such as bunker area, fairway area with small stones, rough area with small stones, the pressed portion 22 of the spike disk 20 contacts with the small stones 91, the pressed portion 22 is compressed by the small stones 91 to deform toward the sole 10, and the deformed pressed portion 22 causes the disk ring portion 21 and each of the spike claws 30 to deform synchronously, and causes the claw portion 32 of each of the spike claws 30 to retract and deform synchronously inwardly in order to provide better grip effect on the ground and prevent slipping effectively.

Please refer to FIG. 5A, FIG. 5B and FIG. 6. When the invention is used on the field 90 without the small stones 91, such as green or fairway area without small stones, the pressed portion 22 of the spike disk 20 is not pressed, the pressed portion 22 of the spike disk 20 is in the normal position, so that the claw portion 32 of each of the spike claws 30 restores to its original shape. When the claw portion 32 of each of the spike claws 30 is in contact with a turf 92, the claw portion 32 of each of the spike claws 30 is pressed upward by stopping of the turf 92, so that the claw portion 32 of each of the spike claws 30 expands outward, thereby maintaining a proper grip on the ground without damaging the turf 92 due to excessive exerted force.

Accordingly, the invention utilizes a structural design of the spike disk 20 to cause each of the spike claws 30 to actuate or not to actuate in conjunction with different positions of the pressed portion 22 of the spike disk 20. When the invention is used to tread on the field 90 without the small stones 91, the invention is capable of maintaining a proper grip on the ground without damaging the turf 92 due to excessive exerted force. When the invention is used to tread on the field 90 with the small stones 91, a better grip on the ground can be provided.

Although the specific embodiments of the invention are disclosed in the above implementation modes, they are not intended to limit the invention. The specification relating to the above embodiments should be construed as exemplary rather than as limitative of the invention, with many variations and modifications being readily attainable by a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the invention pertains without departing from the principles and spirit thereof as defined by the appended claims and their legal equivalents.
