Claims
- 1. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
- a reel body,
- a cylindrical drive shaft;
- a handle linked to said cylindrical drive shaft for rotating said cylindrical drive shaft;
- a spool shaft inserted into said cylindrical drive shaft;
- a front bearing and a rear bearing disposed in a support section formed on a front side of the reel body for rotatably supporting the cylindrical drive shaft;
- a rolling type one-way clutch disposed axially between the front and rear bearings and radially between the cylindrical drive shaft and the support section of the reel body, said rolling type one-way clutch permitting the cylindrical drive shaft to rotate in one direction and prohibiting the cylindrical drive shaft from rotating in the other, opposite direction, and wherein said rolling type one way clutch is a one-way clutch using rolling members;
- a reciprocating drive system including a cam shaft along which a sliding member moves in a reciprocating fashion, and a pinion gear for driving said cam shaft, wherein said pinion gear is disposed outside said front and rear bearings; and
- a rotor having a fishing line guide section for winding a fishing line around a spool disposed in a front portion of the spool shaft.
- 2. A spinning reel according to claim 1, wherein the cylindrical drive shaft is rotatably supported by the front and rear bearings; and
- wherein said cylindrical drive shaft has a gear portion, and said handle has a drive gear mounted to said handle and meshed with said gear portion for rotating the cylindrical drive shaft; and
- wherein said spinning reel further comprises a reciprocating device including a cam shaft supported by front and rear cam shaft bearings, and a sliding member connected to said cam shaft and said spool shaft for axially moving said spool shaft, said cam shaft having a pinion gear disposed between said front and rear cam shaft bearings and enmeshed with said gear portion of said drive shaft; and
- wherein said cam shaft is not supported between said pinion gear and said sliding member; and wherein said cylindrical drive shaft and said spool shaft are not supported along their rotational axes between said pinion gear and said sliding member.
- 3. A spinning reel according to claim 2, wherein said front cam shaft bearing is a rolling bearing.
- 4. A spinning reel according to claim 1, wherein an annular retainer for holding rolling members of the rolling type one-way clutch is rotatably supported with respect to the reel body, and an engaging portion provided in the retainer is engaged with an operation portion of a change-over member supported by the reel body so that the rolling type one-way clutch can be changed over between an operating state in which a wedge action is performed and a non-operating state in which no wedge action is performed.
- 5. A spinning reel according to claim 1, wherein the cylindrical drive shaft is rotatably supported by the front and rear bearings; and
- wherein said cylindrical drive shaft has a gear portion, and said handle has a drive gear mounted to said handle and meshed with said gear portion for rotating the cylindrical drive shaft; and
- wherein said spinning reel further comprises a reciprocating device including a cam shaft and a sliding member connected to said cam shaft and said spool shaft for axially moving said spool shaft, said cam shaft having a pinion gear disposed between said front and rear cam shaft bearings and enmeshed with said gear portion of said drive shaft; and
- wherein said cam shaft is rotatably supported only by front and rear cam shaft bearings disposed at respective ends of said cam shaft outside said pinion gear and said sliding member; and wherein said cylindrical drive shaft and said spool shaft are not supported along their rotational axes between said pinion gear and said sliding member.
- 6. A spinning reel according to claim 1, wherein said front and rear bearings are rolling bearings.
- 7. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
- a reel body,
- a cylindrical drive shaft;
- a handle linked to said cylindrical drive shaft for rotating said cylindrical drive shaft;
- a spool shaft inserted into said cylindrical drive shaft;
- a front bearing and a rear bearing disposed in a support section formed on a front side of the reel body for rotatably supporting the cylindrical drive shaft;
- a rolling type one-way clutch disposed axially between the front and rear bearings and radially between the cylindrical drive shaft and the support section of the reel body, said rolling type one-way clutch permitting the cylindrical drive shaft to rotate in one direction and prohibiting the cylindrical drive shaft from rotating in the other, opposite direction, and wherein said rolling type one way clutch is a one-way clutch using rolling members; and
- a rotor having a fishing line guide section for winding a fishing line around a spool disposed in a front portion of the spool shaft;
- wherein the cylindrical drive shaft is rotatably supported by the front and rear bearings;
- wherein said cylindrical drive shaft has a gear portion, and said handle has a drive gear mounted to said handle and meshed with said gear portion for rotating the cylindrical drive shaft; and
- wherein said spinning reel further comprises a reciprocating device including a cam shaft supported by front and rear cam shaft bearings, and a sliding member connected to said cam shaft and said spool shaft for axially moving said spool shaft, said cam shaft having a pinion gear disposed between said front and rear cam shaft bearings and enmeshed with said gear portion of said drive shaft; and
- wherein said cam shaft is not supported between said pinion gear and said sliding member; and wherein said cylindrical drive shaft and said spool shaft are not supported along their rotational axes between said pinion gear and said sliding member.
- 8. The spinning reel according to claim 7, wherein said front cam shaft bearing is a rolling bearing.
- 9. The spinning reel according to claim 7, wherein an annular retainer for holding rolling members of the rolling type one-way clutch is rotatably supported with respect to the reel body, and an engaging portion provided in the retainer is engaged with an operation portion of a change-over member supported by the reel body so that the rolling type one-way clutch can be changes over between an operating state in which a wedge action is performed and a non-operating state in which no wedge action is performed.
- 10. The spinning reel according to claim 7, wherein said front and rear bearings are rolling bearings.
- 11. A spinning reel for fishing comprising:
- a reel body,
- a cylindrical drive shaft;
- a handle linked to said cylindrical drive shaft for rotating said cylindrical drive shaft;
- a spool shaft inserted into said cylindrical drive shaft;
- a front bearing and a rear bearing disposed in a support section formed on a front side of the reel body for rotatably supporting the cylindrical drive shaft;
- a rolling type one-way clutch disposed axially between the front and rear bearings and radially between the cylindrical drive shaft and the support section of the reel body, said rolling type one-way clutch permitting the cylindrical drive shaft to rotate in one direction and prohibiting the cylindrical drive shaft from rotating in the other, opposite direction, and wherein said rolling type one way clutch is a one-way clutch using rolling members; and
- a rotor having a fishing line guide section for winding a fishing line around a spool disposed in a front portion of the spool shaft;
- wherein the cylindrical drive shaft is rotatably supported by the front and rear bearings;
- wherein said cylindrical drive shaft has a gear portion, and said handle has a drive gear mounted to said handle and meshed with said gear portion for rotating the cylindrical drive shaft; and
- wherein said spinning reel further comprises a reciprocating device including a cam shaft and a sliding member connected to said cam shaft and said spool shaft for axially moving said spool shaft, said cam shaft having a pinion gear disposed between said front and rear cam shaft bearings and enmeshed with said gear portion of said drive shaft; and
- wherein said cam shaft is rotatably supported only by front and rear cam shaft bearings disposed at respective ends of said cam shaft outside said pinion gear and said sliding member; and wherein said cylindrical drive shaft and said spool shaft are not supported along their rotational axes between said pinion gear and said sliding member.
- 12. The spinning reel according to claim 11, wherein an annular retainer for holding rolling members of the rolling type one-way clutch is rotatably supported with respect to the reel body, and an engaging portion provided in the retainer is engaged with an operation portion of a change-over member supported by the reel body so that the rolling type one-way clutch can be changes over between an operating state in which a wedge action is performed and a non-operating state in which no wedge action is performed.
- 13. The spinning reel according to claim 11, wherein said front and rear bearings are rolling bearings.
