The following Detailed Description of the present sport bra invention is described with specificity herein to meet statutory requirements, however, the description itself is not intended to limit the scope of this disclosure. Rather, the inventor have contemplated that the claimed or disclosed subject matter might also be embodied in other ways, to include different steps or combinations, in conjunction with other present of future technologies.
At a high level, aspects herein relate to a support garment such as a bra, having storage pockets to meet different preferences of the wearer.
In exemplary aspects, the mobile phone pocket on the lower-band portion comprises of at least a first, and second layer of material and the second layer of material being waterproof. A pocket space is formed between the inner second layer of material after it is folded with the first layer on the outside after both layers are folded.
Although the term “bra” is used herein, it is contemplated that the term “bra” may apply to other types of support garments such as tank tops, camisoles with built-in support.
Further, positional terms used herein such as “upper,” “lower,” “front,” “back,” and the like are to be given their common anatomical meaning with respect to the bra being worn by a hypothetical wearer standing in anatomical upright position.
FIG. 1 illustrates, in this embodiment the front view of an exemplary sports bra 100 having mobile phone pocket 102 shown in accordance with the aspects herein. In exemplary aspects, the bra 100 comprises a upper front portion 103, a upper back portion 104, a lower-band portion 101, a mobile phone pocket 102, a zippered pocket opening 105, and a headphone chord and plug opening 107 on front of the mobile phone pocket 102. In exemplary aspects, 106 and 108 depict the outer edges of the mobile phone pocket. In one aspect, the upper front 103, and upper back 104 portions may comprise different construction that are joined together at one or more seam-lines using affixing technologies such as stitching, bonding, and the like. In other aspects, the different portions 101,102, 105, and 107 may comprise different steps or combinations of construction that are joined to the upper integrally knit or woven portions using affixing technologies described herein. Any and all aspects, and any variation thereof, are contemplated as being within aspects herein.
FIG. 2 illustrates, in this embodiment, the front view of an exemplary bra 100 having a exemplary mobile phone 109 in the mobile phone pocket 102. In exemplary aspects, the mobile phone 109 sits inside the mobile phone pocket 102 in a horizontal position allowing the mobile phone headphone port close proximity to the headphone chord and plug opening 107.
FIG. 3 illustrates, in this embodiment, a hypothetical wearer in the exemplary bra 100 having an exemplary mobile phone 109 in the mobile phone pocket 102 with a headphone chord 110 plugged into the mobile phone 109 depicting use. In one aspect, the zipper opening 105 is on the wearer's right side of the lower-band 101 vertically along the edge of portion 106, In other aspects, the zipper opening 105 position may comprise different positions (e.g., across the top portion of the lower band 101, running horizontally the full length of the mobile phone pocket 102 across the top portion of 106 across to 108, or vertically on the wearer's left side along edge portion 108).
In FIG. 4 there are two illustrations of the exemplary bra 100, in this embodiment; wearer's right side view (A), and wearer's left side view (B). The lower-band 101 maintains the widened width from the front to the left and right sides and around to the back of lower-band 101. In one aspect, the zipper opening 105 may comprise a different position (e.g., vertically on the wearer's left side along edge portion 108). Similarly, in one aspect, headphone chord and plug opening 107 may comprise a different position (e.g., on the wearer's right side along edge portion 106).
FIG. 5 illustrates a cross section view (B) of the lower-band 101, and the front view (A) of the lower-band. In this embodiment, the fabric cross section (B) depicts the mobile phone pocket space 102 that is in between the second layer of fabric 112 after it is folded, and this second layer of fabric lays inside the first layer of fabric of lower-band 101, The second layer of fabric 112, is made of stretchable waterproof material. And, in this embodiment, the front view (A) depicts the outer edges of the inner second layer of fabric 112. In another aspect, the mobile phone pocket 102 may comprise multiple layers of fabric, and varied fabric materials, either internally or externally to form additional pockets within the perimeter of the mobile phone pocket 102.

Alternative aspects will become apparent to those skilled in the art that do not depart from it's scope, and a skilled artisan may develop alternative means of implementing improvements without departing from the scope of the present invention. It will be understood that certain features and sub-combinations are contemplated within the scope of the claims. Not all steps listed in the various figures need to be carried out in the specific order described.
