Abstract
An equestrian spur holding device including a body having plurality of chamber inside which hold the spurs when, not in using. The inner side of each of the chamber may be provided a space for both spurs to accommodate. In top section of spur holding device has a zipper for opening and closing the device. Vinyl, leather and net is used as preferred material for manufacturing the spur holding device.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(1) Field of the Invention


The present invention generally relates to equestrian industry. More particularly, the present invention relates to a spur holding device, which can be selectively carried spurs and this device helps riders to keep their spurs organized.


(2) Background of the Invention


Spur systems may comprise a spur body for attaching the assembly to a shoe or boot of the rider, and a spur nib attached to the spur body, where the spur nib may be the part of the spur used to control an animal, such as a horse.


The applicants work with horses in rodeo events, as well as young and novice riders who are training for rodeo events. In rodeo events such as the barrel race it is particularly important to have a spur which enables the rider to effectively grip the horse so that the rider can retain balance on the horse. The problem is using the conventional spur and to hold them in a safe place.


Sometimes a rider or user may ride a horse for which a spur is needed, and sometimes a spur may not be needed. This may not be determined until the rider is mounted on the horse, or at different times during a ride. If spurs are not needed a rider may have to remove the spurs so that they are non-functional, which may be cumbersome and time consuming. Furthermore, the rider must then store the removed spur either on the horse or at another location. This may also be cumbersome, and may increase the likelihood that the spurs will be lost.


What is needed is a spur holding device which can hold the device when spurs are not in use. The spur must also extend adequately from the rider's boot to enable the rider to effectively grip the rounded body of the horse concurrently with both their knees and the spur so that they can retain their balance.


Davis U.S. Pat. No. 71,462, Boos U.S. Pat. No. 1,882,059 and Smith U.S. Pat. No. 2,432,102 are examples of spur straps which include a lower strap passing under the sole of the boot and an upper strap passing over the instep of the boot. An improved tie down strap for spurs is disclosed in the pending application of the present applicants, Ser. No. 255,232 filed Apr. 17, 1981. This tie down strap is flexible, including a body having a hole which engages the spur shank and an opposite loop which extends around the heel at the underside of the sole of the boot.


Accordingly, what is needed is a spur system for holding spur when that may be rendered non-functional to the user. The present invention fulfills these needs and provides other related advantages.


SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention resides in an equestrian industry which includes a selectively holding device for spurs. The spur holding device is generally comprises a body that would be a bag like structure having zipper or snap.


The present invention is directed to a device made from vinyl, leather or heavier material from the outside and inside is made from mesh or net. The size of spur holding device is 5.5 inches and 2.5-3 inches in thickness.


The device of this invention includes a zipper or snap system for opening and closing the device. There are two chambers for holding the both spurs inside. The device is portable and easy to carry, that makes easy for horse riders to put their spurs in safe place when it is not in use.


The main advantage of the present invention that allows the horse riders to keep their spurs organized manner and approachable for them. This device minimize the chances of misplace of spurs by keeping them in a closed system.

DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The following detailed description refers to the accompanying drawings that illustrate the embodiments of the present invention. Other embodiments are possible and modifications may be made to the embodiments without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Therefore, the following detailed description is not meant to limit the invention. Rather the scope of the invention is defined by the appended claims.


Spurs are one of the distinctive pieces of equipment that have been used by horsemen throughout the ages. A spur is a metal tool designed to be worn in pairs on the heels of riding boots for the purpose of directing a horse to move forward or laterally while riding. Horse rider use spurs in the rough stock events to help them stay on their horses or bulls. They create a point of contact with the skin of the animal and help the rider maintain their balance. To avoid misplacing spurs when this are not in use, there is an article used by the riders, called spur holding device.


The device provides the idea of suitable advantageously packaging and displaying a pair of equestrian spurs. The design of the article makes it possible to encase the spurs in a single package simply by inserting the article's front and back sections while inserting each end of the spurs in receiving opening and closing through a zipper.


Next provided the invention include a zipper or snap system for opening and closing the equestrian spur holding device. There are two chambers for holding the both spurs inside. The device is portable and easy to carry, that makes easy for horse riders to put their spurs in safe place when they are not using the spurs.


Furthermore, the outer portion of the equestrian spur holding device is made from vinyl and leather. The inner side of equestrian spur holding device is made from net. There are two chambers in equestrian spur holding device for holding the spurs. The size of equestrian spur holding device is 5.5 inches and 2.5-3 inches thick.


The nature and advantages of the invention that allows the horse riders to keep their spurs organized manner and approachable for them. The equestrian spur holding device is minimize the chances of misplace of spurs by keeping them in a closed system.


As illustrated in FIG. 1 the equestrian spur holding device 40 has four sides 22, 26, 32 and 38. The device further includes a zipper 24 for opening and closing. There are two compartments 30 and 34, which hold both spur 36 and 28 in an organized manner.

Claims
  • 1. An equestrian spur holding device where each spur has a chamber structure that includes an inverted U-shaped heel band with substantially straight, comprising; a plurality of chamber;a zipper;
  • 2. The equestrian spur holding device as in claim 1, wherein said the spur holding device has two of chambers.
  • 3. The equestrian spur holding device as in claim 1, wherein said the spur holding device is made from vinyl and leather material.
  • 4. The equestrian spur holding device as in claim 1, wherein said the zipper is in upper side of device for opening and closing the device.
  • 5. The equestrian spur holding device as in claim 1, wherein size of said the spur holding device is 5.5 inch and 2.5-3 inch thick.
