Claims
- 1. A squeegee blade comprising:
a mounting surface having an upper side and a lower side; at least one support member attached to the lower side of the mounting surface; and at least one flexible blade adjacent to the at least one runner and attached to the lower side of the mounting surface.
- 2. The squeegee blade according to claim 1, wherein the at least one support member's height is smaller than the flexible blade's thickness.
- 3. The squeegee blade according to claim 1, wherein the at least one support member is perpendicular to the mounting surface.
- 4. The squeegee blade according to claim 1, wherein the mounting surface comprises metal.
- 5. The squeegee blade according to claim 1, wherein the at least one support member comprises metal.
- 6. The squeegee blade according to claim 1, wherein the at least one flexible blade comprises rubber.
- 7. The squeegee blade according to claim 1, wherein the support member's shape corresponds to a cross section of the flexible blade.
- 8. The squeegee blade according to claim 1, wherein the flexible blade is attached to the mounting surface via a vulcanization process.
- 9. The squeegee blade according to claim 8, wherein the at least one support member is embedded in the flexible blade.
- 10. The squeegee blade according to claim 1, wherein the mounting surface comprises at least one fastener.
- 11. The squeegee blade according to claim 1, wherein the mounting surface comprises at least one keyhole opening passing through the upper and lower side of the mounting surface.
- 12. The squeegee blade according to claim 11, wherein the mounting surface further comprises an extended keyhole opening passing through the upper and lower side of the mounting surface.
- 13. The squeegee blade according to claim 12, wherein the extended keyhole opening is a reversed direction extended keyhole opening.
- 14. The squeegee blade according to claim 1, wherein the mounting surface comprises a plurality of keyhole openings passing through the upper and lower side of the mounting surface.
- 15. The squeegee blade according to claim 14, wherein one of the plurality of keyhole openings is a reversed direction keyhole opening.
- 16. The squeegee blade according to claim 11, wherein the lower side of the mounting plate further comprises at least one bolt head guard.
- 17. The squeegee blade according to claim 16, wherein the bolt head guard comprises a channel that covers the at least one key hole opening.
- 18. A squeegee blade comprising:
a mounting surface having an upper side and a lower side; at least one keyhole opening and at least one extended keyhole opening passing through the upper and lower side of the mounting surface; and at least one flexible blade attached to lower side of the mounting surface.
- 19. The squeegee blade according to claim 18, wherein the extended keyhole opening is an reversed direction extended keyhole opening.
- 20. The squeegee blade according to claim 18 further comprising a bolt head guard attached to the lower side of the mounting surface.
- 21. The squeegee blade according to claim 20, wherein the bolt head guard comprises a channel that covers the at least one keyhole opening.
- 22. A squeegee blade comprising:
a mounting plate having an upper surface and a lower surface; at least one support member attached to the lower surface of the mounting plate; and at least one flexible blade adjacent to the at least one support member and attached to the lower surface of the mounting plate.
- 23. A squeegee blade for use on construction equipment, the squeegee blade comprising;
a relatively rigid mounting surface; at least one relatively rigid support secured to the mounting surface; and a relatively flexible blade secured to the mounting surface and positioned adjacent to the at least one relatively rigid support, so that the relatively rigid support acts to support the flexible blade against compression toward the relatively rigid mounting surface.
- 24. The squeegee blade of claim 23, wherein the mounting plate comprises a metal material.
- 25. The squeegee blade of claim 23, wherein the relatively rigid mounting surface comprises a mounting plate having an upper surface and a lower surface with the relatively rigid support secured to the lower surface.
- 26. The squeegee blade of claim 25, wherein the relatively rigid support comprises at least one metal runner secured to the lower surface of the mounting plate.
- 27. The squeegee blade of claim 25, wherein the relatively rigid support comprises at least one metal runner, the metal runner comprised of a metal similar to the metal of the mounting plate and secured to the lower surface of the mounting plate by welding.
- 28. The squeegee blade of claim 25, wherein the relatively rigid support comprises a plurality of supports secured to the lower surface of the mounting plate.
- 29. The squeegee blade of claim 28, wherein the plurality of relatively rigid supports comprise a plurality of metal runners secured to the lower surface of the mounting plate generally parallel to each other and to the direction of forward and reverse movement of the construction equipment and spaced apart from one another laterally across the lower surface of the mounting plate.
- 30. The squeegee blade of claim 29, wherein the plurality of relatively rigid supports comprise a plurality of metal runners secured to the lower surface of the mounting plate and secured to the mounting plate by a metal weld.
- 31. The squeegee blade of claim 23, further comprising a fastening mechanism including a multiplicity of holes extending through the mounting plate and a plurality of fasteners, each fastener having a shaft and a head and wherein the multiplicity of holes comprise a multiplicity of key hole shaped holes with a narrow channel having a first and an opposed second end, the narrow channels sized for receiving the shaft of the fastener therethrough and for holding against the head of the fasteners and a first plurality of the multiplicity of keyhole shaped holes having a wide portion positioned toward the first end of the narrow channel and sized for receiving the head of the fasteners thererthrough and at least one keyhole shaped hole of the multiplicity of keyhole shaped holes having a wide portion, the wide portion of at least one keyhole shaped hole positioned toward the second end of the narrow channel, the wide portion sized for receiving the head of the fasteners therethrough.
- 32. The squeegee blade of claim 23, further comprising a fastening mechanism including a plurality of fasteners, and an elongated slot formed through the mounting plate and extending a relatively long distance along a substantial portion of the mounting plate, wherein each fastener has a shaft and a head and wherein the slot has a narrow channel with a first end in one direction and a second end in an opposite direction, the narrow channels sized for receiving the shaft of the fasteners therethrough and for holding against the head of the fasteners and having a wide portion positioned toward the first end of the narrow channel and sized for receiving the head of the fasteners thererthrough and at least one keyhole shaped hole having a narrow channel, the channel extending a short distance along the mounting plate, and having a wide portion in the one direction and a narrow channel portion at another end portion in the opposite direction, the wide portion sized for receiving the head of the fasteners thererthrough, the narrow channels sized for receiving the shaft of the fasteners therethrough and for holding against the head of the fasteners.
