Claims
- 1. A squib, comprising
- a first cup and a second cup, said first and second cups made of a metallic material, where the second cup is inserted into the first cup so as to tightly fit with each other;
- a spontaneous firing explosive composition contained in a bottom of said first cup, said spontaneous firing explosive composition comprising of carbohydrates, oxohalogenates and metal oxides;
- initiating agents contained in a bottom of said second cup;
- a squib plug blocking an opening of said second cup;
- a pair of electrode lead pins penetrating through said squib plug; and
- a heater bridging between said pair of electrode lead pins for igniting said initiating agents contained in said second cup.
- 2. A squib, comprising
- a first cup and a second cup, said first and second cups made of a metallic material, where the second cup is inserted into the first cup so as to tightly fit with each other;
- a spontaneous firing explosive composition contained in a bottom of said first cup, said spontaneous firing explosive composition comprising of carbohydrates, oxohalogenates metal oxides and synthetic resin;
- initiating agents contained in a bottom of said second cup;
- a squib plug blocking an opening of said second cup;
- a pair of electrode lead pins penetrating through said squib plug; and
- a heater bridging between said pair of electrode lead pins for igniting said initiating agents contained in said second cup.
- 3. A squib, comprising
- a squib plug assembly including a first cup and a second cup, said first and second cups made of a metallic material, said second cup inserted into the first cup so as to tightly fit with each other; a spontaneous firing explosive composition contained in a bottom of said first cup, said spontaneous firing explosive composition comprising of carbohydrates, oxohalogenates and metal oxides; initiating agents contained in a bottom of said second cup; a squib plug blocking an opening of said second cup; a pair of electrode lead pins penetrating through said squib plug; and a heater bridging between said pair of electrode lead pins for igniting said initiating agents contained in said second cup;
- a cover made of insulating material for covering said squib plug assembly; and
- a holder made of insulating material for holding said squib plug assembly with inserting said pair of lead pins into said holder.
- 4. A squib, comprising
- a squib plug assembly including a first cup and a second cup, said first and second cups made of a metallic material, said second cup inserted into the first cup so as to tightly fit with each other; a spontaneous firing explosive composition contained in a bottom of said first cup, said spontaneous firing explosive composition comprising of carbohydrates, oxohalogenates, metal oxides and synthetic resin; initiating agents contained in a bottom of said second cup; a squib plug blocking an opening of said second cup; a pair of electrode lead pins penetrating through said squib plug; and a heater bridging between said pair of electrode lead pins for igniting said initiating agents contained in said second cup;
- a cover made of insulating material for covering said squib plug assembly; and
- a holder made of insulating material for holding said squib plug assembly with inserting said pair of lead pins into said holder.
- 5. The squib as claimed in claim 3, further comprising a retaining member made of a metallic material for fixing said cover to said holder being in contact with end of said cover.
- 6. The squib as claimed in claim 4, further comprising a retaining member made of a metallic material for fixing said cover to said holder being in contact with end of said cover.
- 7. The squib as claimed in claim 5, wherein said retaining member has a cylindrical portion covering sides of said squib plug assembly and a caulking portion caulked so as to wrap a protruding part which is formed with one end of said holder and one end of said cover.
- 8. The squib as claimed in claim 6, wherein said retaining member has a cylindrical portion covering sides of said squib plug assembly and a caulking portion caulked so as to wrap a protruding part which is formed with one end of said holder and one end of said cover.
- 9. The squib as claimed in claim 5, wherein said cover and said retaining member are formed as an integral body.
- 10. The squib as claimed in claim 6, wherein said cover and said retaining member are formed as an integral body.
- 11. The squib as claimed in claim 1, wherein a rupture face having thin thickness is formed at a bottom of said cover.
- 12. The squib as claimed in claim 4, wherein a rupture face having thin thickness is formed at a bottom of said cover.
- 13. The squib as claimed in claim 1, wherein said spontaneous firing explosive composition has spontaneous firing temperature in the range between 165.degree. C. and 220.degree. C.
- 14. The squib as claimed in claim 1, wherein said spontaneous firing explosive composition has thermal stability and comprises one of carbohydrates being selected from the group consisting of sucrose, lactose, glucose, powder cellulose, dextrin and wood powder, one of oxohalogenates being selected from the group consisting of chlorates, perchlorates, bromates, perbromates, iodates and periodates and one of metal oxides being selected from the group consisting of calcium oxide, magnesium oxide and zinc oxide.
- 15. The squib as claimed in claim 2, wherein said spontaneous firing explosive composition has thermal stability and comprises one of carbohydrates being selected from the group consisting of sucrose, lactose, glucose, powder cellulose, dextrin and wood powder, one of oxohalogenates being selected from the group consisting of chlorates, perchlorates, bromates, perbromates, iodates and periodates, one of metal oxides being selected from the group consisting of calcium oxide, magnesium oxide and zinc oxide and one of synthetic resins being selected from the group consisting of silicon resins, urethane resins, polyesters, acrylic resins and butyl rubbers.
- 16. The squib as claimed in claim 14, wherein one of said carbohydrates or oxohalogenates is coated with said metal oxides.
- 17. The squib as claimed in claim 15, wherein one of said carbohydrates or oxohalogenates is coated with said metal oxides.
