Claims
- 1. A stabilized lime slurry composition for treatment of waste including biosolids, the composition comprising:(a) hydrated lime in an amount substantially in the range of 20% to 40% on a dry weight basis; (b) potassium hydroxide in an amount substantially in the range of 5% to 18% on a dry weight basis; and (c) water in an amount substantially in the range of 42% to 75% by weight.
- 2. A composition in accordance with claim 1 and further comprising potassium chloride in an amount substantially in the range of 0% to 10% on a dry weight basis.
- 3. A composition in accordance with claim 2 wherein the potassium chloride is substantially in the range of 2% to 4%.
- 4. A composition in accordance with claim 2 and further comprising magnesium hydroxide in an amount substantially in the range of 0% to 10% on a dry weight basis.
- 5. A composition in accordance with claim 4 wherein the magnesium hydroxide is substantially within the range of 2% to 4%.
- 6. A composition in accordance with claim 5 wherein the potassium chloride is substantially in the range of 2% to 4%.
- 7. A composition in accordance with claim 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 wherein the potassium hydroxide is substantially within the range of 10% to 16%.
- 8. A composition in accordance with claim 4 or 5 or 6 wherein the calcium hydroxide is substantially in the range of 30% to 36%.
- 9. A composition in accordance with claim 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 wherein the water is substantially in the range of 48% to 56% by weight.
- 10. A composition in accordance with claim 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 wherein the ratio of potassium hydroxide to calcium hydroxide is at least substantially 1:8.
- 11. A composition in accordance with claim 10 wherein the ratio of potassium hydroxide to calcium hydroxide is less than substantially 1:1.
