Claims
- 1. A multilamp photoflash array having a plurality of flashlamps, an electrical circuit connected to said flashlamps and to an energizing source and radiation-responsive humidity protected switches located external to and adjacent said flashlamps and responsive to radiation therefrom, said switches each including an admixture of silver carbonate and/or silver oxide, titanium dioxide, a binder, and from about 0.001 to 5.0% by weight elemental sulfur or a sulfide ion source.
- 2. The multilamp photoflash array of claim 1 wherein said sulfide ion source is an organic sulfide ion precursor.
- 3. The multilamp photoflash array of claim 1 wherein said sulfide ion source is triethylphosphine sulfide (C.sub.2 H.sub.5).sub.3 PS.
- 4. The multilamp photoflash array of claim 1 wherein said sulfide ion source is calcium sulfide.
- 5. The multilamp photoflash array of claim 1 wherein said sulfide ion source is ferrous sulfide.
- 6. The multilamp photoflash array of claim 1 wherein said admixture includes from about 0.01 to 5.0% by weight sulfur or a sulfide ion source.
- 7. The multilamp photoflash array of claim 1 wherein said admixture includes from about 0.1 to 5.0% by weight elemental sulfur.
- 8. The multilamp photoflash array of claim 1 wherein said admixture further includes silver-coated glass beads.
- 9. The multilamp photoflash array of claim 1 wherein said admixture includes elemental sulfur.
- 10. The multilamp photoflash array of claim 9 wherein said admixture includes about 24.66% silver carbonate, 24.66% silver oxide, 29.59% titanium dioxide, 4% silver-coated glass beads and a 50--50 binder of polystyrene and butadiene.
- 11. A humidity protected radiation-responsive switch for a photoflash unit comprising an admixture of silver carbonate and/or silver oxide, titanium dioxide, a binder, and from about 0.001 to 5.0% by weight elemental sulfur or a sulfide ion source.
- 12. The radiation-responsive switch of claim 11 wherein said sulfide ion source is an organic sulfide ion precursor.
- 13. The radiation-responsive switch of claim 11 wherein said binder comprises about 50% polystyrene and 50% butadiene.
- 14. The radiation-responsive switch of claim 11 wherein said admixture includes elemental sulfur.
- 15. The radiation-responsive switch of claim 11 wherein said admixture includes from about 0.01 to 5.0% by weight sulfur or a sulfide ion source.
- 16. The radiation responsive switch of claim 11 wherein said admixture includes from about 0.1 to 5.0% by weight sulfur.
- 17. A multilamp photoflash array having a plurality of flashlamps, an electrical circuit connected to said flashlamps and to an energizing source and radiation-responsive humidity protected switches located external to and adjacent said flashlamps and responsive to radiation therefrom, said switches each including an admixture of silver carbonate and/or silver oxide, titanium dioxide, a binder, and from about 0.1 to 5.0% by weight a sulfide ion source.
