Claims
- 1. A method of preparing stabilized tablet formulations of substituted 3,5-diene steroidal compounds wherein the improvement comprises, the process of reducing the significant increase in the rate of formation of degradation products formed from substituted 3,5-diene steroidal compounds whether compressed into tablets by wet granulation or by direct compression, with commonly used pharmaceutical excipients which consists essentially of the step of directly compressing said substituted 3,5-diene steroidal compound admixed with
- (A) from about 0.05% to about 2% by weight of butylated hydroxyonisol or butylated hydroxytoluene, as antioxidant, and
- (B) from about 1% to about 3% by weight of stearic acid or palmitic acid, as stabilizing tablet lubricant.
- 2. A pharmaceutical formulation produced in accordance with the dried compression tabletting process of claim 1.
