Claims
- 1. Stabilizer-containing reactive components for the production of polyurethane foams with little or no tendency towards core discoloration based on polyisocyanates, polyols and, optionally, water, blowing agents, catalysts, other stabilizers and standard additives, characterized in that they contain as stabilizers monomeric and/or oligomeric derivatives of the diphenylamine series, including the phenothiazine series, in stabilizing quantities of from 0.02 to 5% by weight of compounds corresponding to the following general formula: ##STR61## wherein R.sup.6 represents H or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 -alkyl; a C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 cycloalkyl or -cycloalkenyl; a C.sub.7 -C.sub.18 -aralkyl which may optionally be substituted by OH--, SH--, ether, thioether, carbonic ester, carbonamide and carboxyl groups or which may be interrupted by such groups other than OH, SH and COOH-groups and olefinic double bonds, a radical ##STR62## or a radical of the formula ##STR63## where R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are the same or different and represent a C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 -alkyl; a C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 -cycloalkyl or -cycloalkenyl; a C.sub.7 -C.sub.12 -aralkyl;
- in addition to which R.sup.2 represents optionally substituted aryl and, together with R.sup.4 and the central C-atom, may form a 5- to 12-member aliphatic ring;
- Z represents O, S, NH, NR.sup.5 where R.sup.5 =R.sup.2,
- or a radical of the formula CO--A--R.sup.2, wherein A is a single bond,
- S, O, NH or NR.sup.2 ; both here and in the following,
- R.sup.2 does not form a ring with R.sup.4 ; or
- Z together with R.sup.3 also represents the radical ##STR64## R.sup.7, R.sup.9 and R.sup.10 may be the same or different and represent H, CH.sub.3 or C.sub.2 H.sub.5,
- R.sup.8 represents H, benzyl, styryl, .alpha.-methyl-styryl, tert.-butyl, tert.-amyl, isononyl, cyclohexyl, methyl cyclohexyl, ##STR65## Y represents ##STR66## where R.sup.7 is as defined above and R.sup.11 represents a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl; a cyclohexyl, a cyclohexenyl; an aryl; or ##STR67## and, up to 60 mole percent may also be --S--, --CH.sub.2 --, --CH.sub.2 --S--CH.sub.2 -- or --CH.sub.2 --O--CH.sub.2 --; and n is an integer of from 1 to 29.
- 2. Compounds corresponding to the general formula ##STR68## wherein R.sup.6 represents H or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 -alkyl; C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 -cycloalkyl or -cycloalkenyl; a C.sub.7 -C.sub.18 -aralkyl which may, optionally, be substituted by OH--, SH--, ether, thioether, carbonic ester, carbonamide and carboxyl groups or which may be interrupted by such groups (apart from OH, SH and COOH) and olefinic double bonds, the radical ##STR69## or a radical of the formula ##STR70## wherein R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may be the same or different and represent H, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 -alkyl, a C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 -cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl, or a C.sub.7 -C.sub.12 -aralkyl, in addition to which R.sup.2 may represent an optionally-substituted aryl and, together with R.sup.4 and the central C-atom, may form a 5- to 12-membered aliphatic ring; and Z represents O, S, NH, NR.sup.5 where R.sup.5 =R.sup.2, or a radical of the formula CO--A--R.sup.2, wherein A is a single bond, S, O, NH or NR.sup.2 ; both here and in the following, R.sup.2 does not form a ring with R.sup.4 ; or Z together with R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR71## R.sup.7, R.sup.9 and R.sup.10 may be the same or different and represent H, CH.sub.3 or C.sub.2 H.sub.5 ;
- R.sup.8 represents H, benzyl, styryl, .alpha.-methyl styryl, tert.-butyl, tert.-amyl, isononyl, cyclohexyl, methyl cyclohexyl, ##STR72## Y represents ##STR73## where R.sup.7 is defined as above and R.sup.11 represents a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl, a cyclohexyl, an aryl, or ##STR74## and, up to 60 mole percent, may also be --S--, --CH.sub.2 --, --CH.sub.2 --S--CH.sub.2 -- or --CH.sub.2 --O--CH.sub.2 --; and
- n is an integer of from 1 to 29.
- 3. A process for the production of monomeric and/or oligomeric mixtures of the compounds corresponding to the formula ##STR75## wherein R.sup.6 represents H or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 -alkyl; C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 -cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl; a C.sub.7 -C.sub.18 -aralkyl which may, optionally, be substituted by OH--, SH--, ether, thioether, carbonic ester, carbonamide and carboxyl groups or which may be interrupted by such groups (apart from OH, SH and COOH) and olefinic double bonds, the radical ##STR76## or a radical of the formula ##STR77## wherein R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may be the same or different and represent H, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 -alkyl, a C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 -cycloalkyl or -cycloalkenyl, or a C.sub.7 -C.sub.12 -aralkyl, in addition to which R.sup.2 may represent an optionally substituted aryl and, together with R.sup.4 and the central C-atom, may form a 5- to 12-membered aliphatic ring; and
- Z represents O, S, NH, NR.sup.5 where R.sup.5 =R.sup.2, or a radical of the formula CO--A--R.sup.2, where A is a single bond, S, O, NH or NR.sup.2 ; both here and in the following, R.sup.2 does not form a ring with R.sup.4 ; or Z together with R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR78## R.sup.7, R.sup.9 and R.sup.10 may be the same or different and represent H, CH.sub.3 or C.sub.2 H.sub.5 ;
- R.sup.8 represents H, benzyl, styryl, .alpha.-methyl-styryl, tert.-butyl, tert.-amyl, isononyl, cyclohexyl, methyl cyclohexyl, ##STR79## Y represents ##STR80## where R.sup.7 is defined as above and R.sup.11 represents a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl, a cyclohexyl, a cyclohexanyl, an aryl, or ##STR81## and, up to 60 mole percent, may also be --S--, --CH.sub.2 --, --CH.sub.2 --S--CH.sub.2 -- or --CH.sub.2 --O--CH.sub.2 --; and
- n is an integer of from 1 to 29;
- characterized in that the aromatic amines corresponding to the formula ##STR82## wherein R.sup.6, R.sup.7, R.sup.8, R.sup.9 and R.sup.10 are as defined above; are reacted with bifunctional compounds corresponding to the formulae Hal--Y--Hal, HO--Y--OH, R.sup.7 O--Y--OR.sup.7 or R.sup.7 COO--Y--OCOR.sup.7 wherein Hal=halogen;
- Y represents ##STR83## where R.sup.7 is as defined above, but preferably represents H, and R.sup.11 represents a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 (preferably a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl, cyclohexyl, cyclohexenyl, an aryl, or ##STR84## or, up to 60 mole percent, also --S--, --CH.sub.2 --, --CH.sub.2 --S--CH.sub.2 -- or --CH.sub.2 O--CH.sub.2 -- (preferably --CH.sub.2 --); or with bis-olefins formed from these compounds by elimination of the radical HOH, HOR.sup.7, HOCOR.sup.7 or H--Hal, at temperatures in the range of from 50.degree. to 300.degree. C. in the presence of strong acids having pk-values of less than 2 and the radicals R.sup.8 and R.sup.6 (when not representing H) are introduced before, preferably during or after the above reaction of the amines.
