Claims
- 1. A two component oral composition packaged in a dual chamber dispensing container comprising:(i) a first composition separately housed from a second composition, the first composition having a pH ranging from about 7.0 to about 9.5; and (ii) the second composition having a pH adjusted with an acid compound and at least one of the compositions comprising a potassium ion releasable salt and a fluoride salt present in an effective amount to prevent caries, the first and second compositions being maintained separate from each other until dispensed and combined for application to teeth.
- 2. The composition according to claim 1 wherein the potassium ion releasable compound is potassium nitrate.
- 3. The composition according to claim 1 wherein the acid is phosphoric acid.
