Claims
- 1. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant comprising a turbine having a runner rotating with water flow supplied through a high head conducting tube, and a rotary electric machine rotating with rotation of said runner, wherein said head is equal to or more than 400 m, and said runner is equal to or more than 5 meters in diameter, wherein said head is in a range of 400-600 m, and said runner has characteristics of;
- one of yield strength at room temperature: at least 500 N/mm.sup.2 ; and
- tensile strength at room temperature: at least 650 N/mm.sup.2 ;
- elongation at least 16%;
- reduction of area at least 45%;
- 2 mm U-notch impact value at 0.degree. C. at least 100 J; and
- fracture toughness at least 6000 N/mm.sup.3/2.
- 2. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant as claimed in claim 1, wherein
- said turbine is a pump for pumping up water through said conducting tube by said runner, and
- said runner is rotated by said rotary electric machine.
- 3. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant comprising a turbine having a runner rotating with water flow supplied through a high head conducting tube, and a rotary electric machine rotating with rotation of said runner, wherein said head is equal to or more than 400 m, and said runner is equal to or more than 5 meters in diameter, wherein said head is in a range from more than 600 m to 800 m, and said runner has characteristics of:
- one of yield strength at room temperature: at least 530 N/mm.sup.2 ; and
- tensile strength at room temperature: at least 700 N/mm.sup.2 ;
- elongation at least 16%;
- reduction of area at least 50%;
- 2 mm U-notch impact value at 0.degree. C. at least 100 J; and
- fracture toughness at least 6000 N/mm.sup.3/2.
- 4. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant as claimed in claim 3, wherein
- said turbine is a pump for pumping up water through said conducting tube by said runner, and
- said runner is rotated by said rotary electric machine.
- 5. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant comprising a turbine having a runner rotating with water flow supplied through a high head conducting tube, and a rotary electric machine rotating with rotation of said runner, wherein said head is equal to or more than 400 m, and said runner is equal to or more than 5 meters in diameter, wherein said head is in a range from more than 800 m to 1000 m, and said runner has characteristics of:
- one of yield strength at room temperature: at least 560 N/mm.sup.2 ; and
- tensile strength at room temperature: at least 750 N/mm.sup.2 ;
- elongation at least 20%;
- reduction of area at least 50%;
- 2 mm U-notch impact value at 0.degree. C. at least 100 J; and
- fracture toughness at least 6000 N/mm.sup.3/2.
- 6. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant as claimed in claim 5, wherein
- said turbine is a pump for pumping up water through said conducting tube by said runner, and
- said runner is rotated by said rotary electric machine.
- 7. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant comprising a turbine having a runner rotating with water flow supplied through a high head conducting tube, and a rotary electric machine rotating with rotation of said runner, wherein said head is equal to or more than 400 m, wherein said head is in a range of 400-600 m, and said runner has characteristics of;
- one of yield strength at room temperature: at least 500 N/mm.sup.2 ; and
- tensile strength at room temperature: at least 650 N/mm.sup.2 ;
- elongation at least 16%;
- reduction of area at least 45%;
- 2mm U-notch impact value at 0.degree. C. at least 100 J; and
- fracture toughness at least 6000 N/mm.sup.3/2.
- 8. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant supplied through a high head conducting tube, and a rotary electric machine rotating with rotation of said runner, wherein said head is equal to or more than 400 m, wherein said head is in a range from more than 600 m to 800 m, and said runner has characteristics of:
- one of yield strength at room temperature: at least 530 N/mm.sup.2 ; and
- tensile strength at room temperature: at least 700 N/mm.sup.2 ;
- elongation at least 16%;
- reduction of area at least 50%;
- 2 mm U-notch impact value at 0.degree. C. at least 100 J; and
- fracture toughness at least 6000 N/mm.sup.3/2.
- 9. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant comprising a turbine having a runner rotating with water flow supplied through a high head conducting tube, and a rotary electric machine rotating with rotation of said runner, wherein said head is equal to or more than 400 m, wherein said head is in a range from more than 800 m to 1000 m, and said runner has characteristics of:
- one of yield strength at room temperature: at least 560 N/mm.sup.2 ; and
- tensile strength at room temperature: at least 750 N/mm.sup.2 ;
- elongation at least 20%;
- reduction of area at least 50%;
- 2 mm U-notch impact value at 0.degree. C. at least 100 J; and
- fracture toughness at least 6000 N/mm.sup.3/2.
- 10. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant comprising a turbine having a runner rotating with water flow supplied through a high head conducting tube, and a rotary electric machine rotating with rotation of said runner, wherein said head is equal to or more than 400 m, wherein said head is in a range of 400-600 m, and said runner comprising cast members made of stainless steel wherein the stainless steel is high toughness 13Cr5Ni group stainless steel comprising:
- C: 0.008-0.030% (by weight, all of the following elements);
- Si: max. 1%;
- Mn: max. 2%;
- Cr: 10.0-14.0%;
- Ni: 4.0-7.00%; and
- Mo: 0.2-2.0%; wherein the (Cr/Ni) ratio is in a range of 2.0-3.0.
- 11. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant comprising a turbine having a runner rotating with water flow supplied through a high head conducting tube, and a rotary electric machine rotating with rotation of said runner, wherein said head is equal to or more than 400 m, wherein said head is in a range of 400-600 m, and said runner comprising cast members made of stainless steel wherein the stainless steel is high toughness 13Cr5Ni group stainless steel comprising:
- C: 0.008-0.03% (by weight, all of the following elements);
- Si: max. 1%;
- Mn: max. 2%;
- Cr: 10.0-14.0%;
- Ni: 4.0-7.0%; and
- Mo: 0.2-2.0%; wherein the (C/Mo) ratio is in a range of 0.015-0.1.
- 12. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant comprising a turbine having a runner rotating with water flow supplied through a high head conducting tube, and a rotary electric machine rotating with rotation of said runner, wherein said head is equal to or more than 400 m, wherein said head is in a range from more than 600 m to 800 m, and said runner comprising cast members made of stainless steel wherein the stainless steel is high toughness 13Cr5Ni group stainless steel comprising:
- C: 0.008-0.03% (by weight, all of the following elements);
- Si: max. 1%;
- Mn: max. 2;
- Cr: 10.0-14.0%;
- Ni: 4.0-7.00%; and
- Mo: 0.2-2.0%; wherein the (Cr/Ni) ratio is in a range of 2.0-3.0.
- 13. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant comprising a turbine having a runner rotating with water flow supplied through a high head conducting tube, and a rotary electric machine rotating with rotation of said runner, wherein said head is equal to or more than 400 m, wherein said head is in a range from more than 600 m to 800 m, and said runner comprising cast members made of stainless steel wherein the stainless steel is high toughness 13Cr5Ni group stainless steel comprising:
- C:0.008-0.03% (by weight, all of the following elements);
- Si: max. 1%;
- Mn: max. 2%;
- Cr: 10.0-14.0%;
- Ni: 4.0-7.0%; and
- Mo: 0.2-2.0%; wherein the (C/Mo) ratio is in a range of 0.015-0.1.
- 14. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant comprising a turbine having a runner rotating with water flow supplied through a high head conducting tube, and a rotary electric machine rotating with rotation of said runner, wherein said head is equal to or more than 400 m, wherein said head is in a range from more than 800 m to 1000 m, and said runner comprising cast members made of stainless steel wherein the stainless steel is high toughness 13Cr5Ni group stainless steel comprising:
- C:0.008-0.03% (by weight, all of the following elements);
- Si: max. 1%;
- Mn: max. 2%;
- Cr: 10.0-14.0%;
- Ni: 4.0-7.0%; and
- Mo: 0.2-2.0%; wherein the (Cr/Ni) ratio is in a range of 2.0-3.0.
- 15. An ultra high head pump turbine power generating plant comprising a turbine having a runner rotating with water flow supplied through a high head conducting tube, and a rotary electric machine rotating with rotation of said runner, wherein said head is equal to or more than 400 m, wherein said head is in a range from more than 800 m to 1000 m, and said runner comprising cast members made of stainless steel wherein the stainless steel is high toughness 13Cr5Ni group stainless steel comprising:
- C: 0.008-0.03% (by weight, all of the following elements);
- Si: max. 1%;
- Mn: max. 2%;
- Cr: 10.0-14.0%;
- Ni: 4.0-7.0%; and
- Mo: 0.2-2.0%; wherein the (C/Mo) ratio is in a range of 0.015-0.1.
