Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention is generally related to a playing card, and more particularly, to a stereo playing card which brings more joy when being played with.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Poker is a popular entertainment. Many designs and decorations have been made to the porker playing card for making it more entertaining. The conventional way of doing this can be separated into two main categories: one is to use uniquely designed figures or layout as a whole for the front side of the playing card or to add decorating pictures or comics . . . , etc. to the back side of the playing card; the other one is to employ unique materials to make the playing card itself more valuable, for example, plastic may be used to make the playing card water resistant and more long-lasting, or other materials maybe used to make the card look shining.

No matter how the playing card is decorated or made, it is limited in function due to its flat piece form. Therefore, by making the playing card stereo, the present invention provides a new entertaining gizmo which is able to be played in more different ways.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, a stereo playing card is provided that substantially overcomes the drawbacks of the above problems mentioned from the conventional system.

One object of the present invention is to provide a stereo playing card, the provided stereo playing card comprises a multi-faced main body having a top surface and a bottom surface wherein the top surface of the multi-faced main body has engraved figures symbolizing the denomination of spare, club, heart, and diamond.

By making the card stereo, the present invention provides a new entertaining gizmo which is able to be played in more different ways.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT(S)

Having summarized various aspects of the present invention, reference will now be made in detail to the description of the invention as illustrated in the drawings. While the invention will be described in connection with these drawings, there is no intent to limit it to the embodiment or embodiments disclosed therein. On the contrary the intent is to cover all alternatives, modifications and equivalents included within the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.

It is noted that the drawings presents herein have been provided to illustrate certain features and aspects of embodiments of the invention. It will be appreciated from the description provided herein that a variety of alternative embodiments and implementations may be realized, consistent with the scope and spirit of the present invention.

It is also noted that the drawings presents herein are not consistent with the same scale. Some scales of some components are not proportional to the scales of other components in order to provide comprehensive descriptions and emphasizes to this present invention.

Reference is now made to FIG. 1, in a first embodiment of the present invention, a stereo playing card is provided. The provided stereo playing card comprises a multi-faced main body with a length of 3.4 cm, a width of 2.2 cm, and a height of 1.4 cm, which is roughly of a Mahjong card's volume. Further, the provided stereo playing card can be made of plastic, resin or wood. What should be notice is that the above size of the provided stereo playing card is just one embodiment of the present invention but not to limit any modification or variation of any other size within the scope of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 1, in this embodiment, the provided stereo playing card comprises a multi-faced main body 1 having a bottom surface 11 and a top surface 12, wherein the top surface 12 has a concave portion 2 surrounded by a frame 121. In this embodiment, the concave portion 2 further has in it two protruding bodies: a letter 122 and a figure of denomination 123. As illustrated in FIG. 1, the figure of denomination 123 is a black spot, which is used to symbolize spare. The figures of the provided stereo playing card is created by carving inwards from the top surface of the provided stereo playing card, thus the provided stereo playing card is able to easily stand still when it is placed up side down; besides, the engraved figures are easily to be felt and identified by human fingers.

Reference is now made to FIG. 2, in addition to the figure of denomination 123 which symbolizes spare, the other three denominations club, heart, and diamond are represented by three corresponding figures of denomination 124, 125, and 126. The figure of denomination 124, which symbolizes club, is four close spots. The figure of denomination 125, which symbolizes heart, is a red spot distinguishably bigger than the black spot of the figure of denomination 123. The figure of denomination 126, which symbolizes diamond, is a lozenge. To be easy to identify through a finger touch, the figure of denomination 123 (spare) and the figure of denomination 125 (heart) are made solid figures, and the figure of denomination 124 (club) and the figure of denomination 126 (diamond) are made hollow figures.

Reference is now made to FIG. 3, which shows a complete set of the provided stereo playing card of a single denomination, which is spare herein, with a set of figure layout in accordance with one preferred embodiment of the present invention. As shown, the figure layouts on cards of number 2 through number 10 are similar to those on conventional playing cards, and the figures on cards of A, K, Q, and J distinguishably differ from each other, thus it is easy for a player to identify individual card through finger touches.

Reference is now made to FIG. 4, which shows a complete set of the provided stereo playing card of a single denomination, which is spare herein, with a set of figure layout in accordance with another preferred embodiment of the present invention. As shown, the figure layout of the card of number 5 is a cross; the figure layout of the card of number 6 is two parallel lines with a certain separate distance; the figure layout of the card of number 8 is also two parallel lines, but with a separate distance shorter than that of the card of number 5 for identification purpose; and the figure layout of the card of number 9 is three parallel lines.

What should be noticed is, the provided playing cards in above embodiments can be made with the same manufacturing process as Mahjong cards, which would include extruding, grinding . . . etc., and can be made from hard plastic or resin. The raw material is first processed into the aforementioned multi-faced main body 1, then, a selected top face of the produced multi-faced main body 1 is engraved to have desired figures on it. Finally, the formed figures are hued or tapped with metal strips to have desired colors.

Reference is now made to FIG. 5, in a second embodiment of the present invention, a stereo playing card is provided. The only difference between the stereo playing card in the second embodiment and the first embodiment of the present invention is that the figures of denomination 123 to 126 and the letters 122 in the second embodiment are directly carved inwards from the top surface of multi-faced main body 1, which is contrary to the way the figures of denomination 123 to 126 and letters 122 are formed, as protruding bodies, in the first embodiment.

In the present invention, the figures of denomination 123 to 126 are designed as substitutes of the denominations of a conventional poker game, and are designed in a way that they are able to be felt and identified easily through finger touches.

Reference is now made to FIG. 6, which shows four joker cards 51 to 54 that are also included in the provided stereo playing card. As shown, the figures on the joker cards 51 to 54 are substantially enlargements of the figures of denomination on normal provided stereo playing cards, 123 to 126, only plus that there is an additional circle 127 around the figure of denomination 123, for identification purpose. Being different from a conventional playing card set, the present invention provides four joker cards, which makes the provided stereo playing card to have a total number of 56 cards.

Accordingly, the present invention, by making it stereo, provides a stereo playing card as a new entertaining gizmo which is able to be played in more different ways.

The foregoing description is not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed. Obvious modifications or variations are possible in light of the above teachings. In this regard, the embodiment or embodiments discussed were chosen and described to provide the best illustration of the principles of the invention and its practical application to thereby enable one of ordinary skill in the art to utilize the invention in various embodiments and with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated.
