Claims
- 1. A stone roll mount plate for a feederhouse of a combine harvester, comprising:a. a sidewall having a stone roll aperture; b. the stone roll mount plate having a plurality of plate slots, therein, the plate having a plate bolt which is inserted through the plate slot and secures the stone roll mount plate to the sidewall; c. a roll adjust rod slideably connecting the stone roll mount plate to the sidewall; and d. a stone roll inserted through the stone roll aperture and rotationally attached to the stone roll plate, further comprising a plurality of stone roll position indicia affixed to the sidewall; and a pointer affixed on the stone roll mount plate.
- 2. The stone roll mount plate as described in claim 1, wherein the stone roll adjustment rod further comprises:a. a roll nut affixed to the stone roll mount plate, said roll nut threadably receives the stone roll adjustment rod; and b. a roll bracket affixed to the sidewall.
- 3. The stone roll mount plate described in claim 2, further comprising:a. a stone trap door pivotally attached to a feederhouse beneath the sidewall; b. a door linkage attached to the stone trap door; and c. a door spring linkage attached between the sidewall and the door linkage, whereby a rock contacting the stone roll is thrust through the stone trap door.
- 4. The stone roll mount plate describe in claim 3, wherein the stone roll mount plate further comprises six plate slots and the stone roll mount plate is attached to the sidewall by six bolts inserted through each plate slot.
- 5. A method for adjusting the position of a stone roll on a feederhouse of an agricultural combine, comprising the steps of:a. loosening a plate bolt so as to allow a stone roll attach plate to move relative to a sidewall; b. rotating a roll adjustment rod so as to align a pointer on the stone roll attach plate with a stone roll position indicia; and c. tightening the plate bolt so as to affix the stone roll attach plate to the sidewall.
