Abstract
A strap suspender for a brassiere uses for holding either a cloth strap or a bead strap. The strap suspender for a brassiere has a body and a holder. The holder is pivotally mounted on the body. The body has a transverse lip formed on the body and a central slot defined through the transverse lip. The cloth straps and the bead straps can pass through the central slot and be held by the transverse lip or the holder.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a strap suspender brassiere, and more particularly to a strap suspender for a brassiere, which can be used for holding several kinds of straps.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional strap suspender for a brassiere is provided for hanging one kind of strap, such as a cloth strap or a bead strap, but not for hanging several kinds of straps including cloth straps and bead straps.

The present invention provides a strap suspender for a brassiere to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a strap suspender for a brassiere, which can be used to hold both cloth straps and bead straps.

To achieve the objective, the strap suspender for a brassiere in accordance with the present invention has a body and a holder. The holder is pivotally mounted on the body. The body has a transverse lip formed on the body and a central slot defined through the transverse lip. The cloth straps and the bead straps can pass through the central slot and are held by the transverse lip or the holder.

Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, a strap suspender for a brassiere in accordance with the present invention has a body (10) and a holder (20).

The body (10) has a top edge (not numbered), a bottom edge (not numbered), two side edges (not numbered), a hook (11), a transverse lip (12), a through hole (13), a pivot pin (14) and a nub (15). The hook (11) is integrally formed with the bottom edge of the body (10), and the transverse lip (12) is transversely formed with the top edge of the body (10). The transverse lip (12) has a thickness (not numbered), a central slot (121) and an opening (122). The central slot (121) is defined through the transverse lip (12), and the opening (122) communicates with the central slot (121). The through hole (13) is defined through the transverse lip (12) and beside the central slot (121). The nub (15) is formed on the transverse lip (12) near the side edge and opposite to the through hole (13).

The holder (20) is pivotally mounted on the body (10) and has a pivot end (not numbered), a holding end (not numbered), an inner surface (not numbered), multiple optional teeth (21), a hole (22) and a keeper (23). The optional teeth (21) are formed on the inner surface of the holder (20) toward the body (10). The hole (22) is defined through the pivot end of the body (20) and aligns with the through hole (13) in the transverse lip (12). The pivot pin (14) is mounted through the through hole (13) and the hole (22), so that the holder (20) is pivotally mounted on the body (10). The keeper (23) is formed on the inner surface of the holder (20), and has a top piece (not numbered), a bottom piece (not numbered) and a detent (24). The detent (24) is defined in the top piece of the keeper (23) and is shaped corresponding to the nub (15) on the transverse lip (12). The distance between the top piece and the bottom piece is equal to the thickness of the transverse lip (12) on the body (10).

With reference to FIG. 3, the strap suspender for a brassiere is used by hooking the hook (11) of the body (10) on a bra. When a bead strap (30) is used, the nub (15) of the transverse lip (12) is mounted inside the detent (24) in the keeper (23) of the holder (20), and a bead (31) is held on the transverse lip (12). The bead has a diameter larger than the central slot (121) of the transverse lip (12), and the holder (20) holds the bead strap on the strap suspender, so that the bead will not slip from the strap suspender.

With reference to FIG. 4, the cloth strap (32) is passed through the strap suspender, and the optional teeth (21) grip the cloth strap (32).

The strap suspender for a brassiere has the following advantages.

Different types of straps can be used with a dress without changing the underwear. The strap suspender for a brassiere in accordance with the present invention can also used for a cloth strap and a bead strap.

The invention may be varied in many ways by a person skilled in the art. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the invention, and all such modifications are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
