- 7. The strobe control apparatus of claim 1, further comprising means for detecting that said light emitter is in said operative position, wherein said compulsive light emitting mode is executed, by said means for executing said compulsive light emitting mode, when said light emitter is manually moved from said retracted position and detected by said detecting means as being moved to said operative position.
- 8. The strobe control apparatus of claim 1, further comprising means for detecting that said light emitter is in said operative position, and means for determining the light emitting mode of said light emitter, wherein said compulsive light emitting mode is executed, by said means for executing said compulsive light emitting mode, in accordance with said determining means determining that said light emitter is in said automatic light emitting mode and said detecting means detecting that said light emitter is located at said operative position, and in response to said photometering switch being turned OFF and then subsequently turned ON.
- 9. A strobe control apparatus for a strobe camera having a light emitter that is movable between a retracted position and an operative position, said strobe control apparatus comprising:
- a photometering switch;
- a photometering circuit, connected to said photometering switch, for determining the brightness of an object to be photographed when said photometering switch is turned ON;
- means for counting a number of actuations of said photometering switch;
- means for moving said light emitter between said retracted position and said operative position;
- means for detecting that said light emitter is in said operative position;
- means for performing an automatic light emitting mode in which said light emitter is moved by said moving means to said operative position and emits light based on the brightness of said object to be photographed;
- means for performing a compulsive light emitting mode in which said light emitter emits light regardless of the brightness of said object to be photographed; and
- means for changing a light emitting mode of said light emitter between said automatic light emitting mode and said compulsive light emitting mode in accordance with the number of actuations of said photometering switch counted by said counting means, such that when said light emitter is detected by said detecting means as being in said operative position and plural actuations of said photometering switch are counted by said counting means, including a turning OFF of said photometering switch and then subsequently a turning ON of said photometering switch, the light emitting mode of said light emitter is changed to said compulsive light emitting mode by said changing means.
