Claims
- 1. A structurally coated silica.
- 2. A structurally coated silica as claimed in claim 1, wherein it has a carbon content of 10 to 30 wt. %.
- 3. A structurally coated silica as claimed in claim 1, wherein it has a BET surface area of 80 to 450 m2/g.
- 4. A structurally coated silica as claimed in claims 1 or 2, wherein it has a bulk density of 10 to 60 g/l.
- 5. A structurally coated silica as claimed in claims 1 to 3, wherein it has a DBP index of 2.4 to 3.8.
- 6. A process for preparing a structurally coated silica as claimed in claims 1 to 4, wherein a pyrogenic silica is sprayed and mixed with water and a coating agent in a suitable mixing vessel and is then milled and subsequently dried.
- 7. Use of structurally coated silicas as claimed in claims 1 to 4 as matting agents in lacquers.
- 8. Lacquers and/or lacquer systems, wherein they contain a structurally coated silica as claimed in claims 1 to 4.
