Claims
- 1-50. (canceled)
- 51. An organic electroluminescent display, comprising:
a substrate; a first electrode layer supported by the substrate; a first layer supported by the substrate; a second layer supported by the first layer, the second layer including a cross-linked material, wherein the first layer has a first width and the second layer has a second width that is greater than the first width and the first and the second layers together form a structure; an organic active layer supported by the first electrode layer; and a second electrode layer having a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion has two or more electrodes, the structure formed by the first and second layers separates a first electrode of the two or more electrodes from a second electrode of the two or more electrodes and the second electrode layer has a second portion that is supported by the structure, the structure including an overhang that prevents the two or more electrodes from electrically contacting the second portion of the second electrode layer.
- 52. The display of claim 51, wherein:
the first layer is supported by the first electrode layer.
- 53. The display of claim 51, wherein:
the first layer has a higher solubility rate in a liquid developer than the second layer.
- 54. The display of claim 51, wherein:
the first layer includes a photoresist.
- 55. The display of claim 51, wherein:
the second layer includes a photoresist.
- 56. The display of claim 51, wherein:
the first layer includes a positive photoresist.
- 57. The display of claim 56, wherein:
the positive photoresist includes polyglutarimide.
- 58. The display of claim 56, wherein:
the positive photoresist includes polybenzoxazole.
- 59. The display of claim 51, wherein:
the second layer includes a positive photoresist.
- 60. The display of claim 59, wherein:
the positive photoresist includes polyglutarimide.
- 61. The display of claim 59, wherein:
the positive photoresist includes polybenzoxazole.
- 62. The display of claim 61, wherein:
the positive photoresist includes novalak.
- 63. The display of claim 61, wherein:
the positive photoresist includes diazoquinone.
- 64. The display of claim 62, wherein:
the positive photoresist includes a mixture of novalak and diazoquinone.
- 65. The display of claim 51, wherein:
the second layer includes a negative photoresist.
- 66. The display of claim 65, wherein:
the negative photoresist incudes novalak.
- 67. The display of claim 65, wherein:
the negative photoresist incudes a crosslinker.
- 68. The display of claim 65, wherein:
the negative photoresist incudes a photoacid.
- 69. The display of claim 65, wherein:
the negative photoresist incudes at least two materials from the group consisting of novalak, a crosslinker and a photoacid.
- 70. The display of claim 51, wherein:
the structure formed by the first and second layers separates the organic active layer into first and second portions.
- 71. The display of claim 51, wherein:
the organic active layer is formed by vapor deposition.
- 72. The display of claim 51, wherein:
the organic active layer is formed by a liquid phase process.
