Claims
- 1. In a subscriber unit for a wireless digital telephone system
- selection means to determine the type of channel in an incoming signal and the transmit or receive mode of said unit, said selection means comprising
- means to produce repetitive frames at predetermined intervals wherein a portion of each of said intervals constitutes an Amplitude Modulation Hole, means to determine whether said unit is in a transmit or receive mode and whether a particular channel is a control channel or a voice channel in accordance with the duration of said AM hole.
- 2. The subscriber unit of claim 1 wherein a portion of the first half of each frame constitutes a receive mode and a portion of the second half of each frame constitutes a transmit mode, each of said portions comprising a slot, each of said slots containing, as part of its initial data, a unique word for establishing timing for reception of remaining data in the slot.
