Claims
- 1. A method for the treatment of pain and depression in a warm-blooded animal which comprises administering to said animal a pharmaceutical carrier and an analgesic and antidepressant amount of a compound of the formula: ##STR17## wherein Z is selected from the group CH and N; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halogen, nitro, trifluoromethyl, methylthio, methylsulfonyl and hydroxy; R.sub.3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, lower alkyl and phenylloweralkyl and R is selected from the group comprising hydrogen, diloweralkylaminoloweralkyl, piperidylloweralkyl, morpholinoloweralkyl, pyrrolidinoloweralkyl and piperazinylloweralkyl and acid addition salts thereof, with the proviso that when Z is N, then R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are hydrogen.
