Claims
- 1. A substituted N-hydroxytriazole of formula I ##STR16## where X and Y are O, S, SO, SO.sub.2 or CH.sub.2 ; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl; and R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkoxy, and n is 0, 1 or 2.
- 2. A substituted N-hydroxytriazole as set forth in claim 1, where X and Y represent oxygen and N is 0.
- 3. A pesticidal composition for insects, arachnids and nematodes comprising a pesticidally effective amount of a substituted N-hydroxytriazole as set forth in claim 1 and a carrier therefor.
- 4. A pesticidal composition as set forth in claim 3 wherein the substituted N-hydroxytriazole is present in a concentration of 0.1 to 95% by weight.
- 5. A process for combating insects, arachnids and nematodes which comprises applying a pesticidally effective amount of a substituted N-hydroxytriazole as set forth in claim 1 to the insects, arachnids and nematodes and/or the areas to be kept free of insects, arachnids and nematodes.
