Claims
- 1. In a disk substrate for a rigid disk storage medium:
- a disk substrate having a pair of faced coined by a press using a set of upper and lower coining dies at least one of which is provided with a predetermined texture on the pressing surface to provide a texture on at least one of the faces of the disk substrate at the time of forming super precise faces, the texture on the face of the substrate being selected from the group of lays including circumferential, radial, cross-hatch, and random lays.
- 2. In a disk substrate as set forth in claim 1, wherein the material of the substrate is aluminum alloy.
- 3. In a disk substrate as set forth in claim 1, wherein the substrate is nickel plated.
