Claims
- 1. An herbicide composition comprising an effective amount of a mixture of a thiocarbamate herbicide and an antidotally effective amount of an antidote compound corresponding to the formula
- R.sub.1 --S--R.sub.2
- in which R.sub.1 is 3,3-dichloroallyl and R.sub.2 is 3,3-dichloroallyl.
- 2. An herbicide composition comprising an effective amount of a mixture of a thiocarbamate herbicide and an antidotally effective amount of an antidote compound corresponding to the formula
- R.sub.1 --S--R.sub.2
- in which R.sub.1 is 3-chloroallyl and R.sub.2 is 3-chloroallyl.
- 3. An herbicide composition comprising an effective amount of a mixture of a thiocarbamate herbicide and an antidotally effective amount of an antidote compound corresponding to the formula
- R.sub.1 --S--R.sub.2
- in which R.sub.1 is 2,3-dichloroallyl and R.sub.2 is 2,3-dichloroallyl.
- 4. The method of protecting a crop from injury due to a thiocarbamate herbicide, comprising applying to the habitat prior to planting from about 0.01 to about 15 parts by weight for each part by weight of the thiocarbamate herbicide the antidote compound corresponding to the formula
- R.sub.1 --S--R.sub.2
- in which R.sub.1 is 3,3-dichloroallyl and R.sub.2 is 3,3-dichloroallyl.
- 5. The method of claim 4 in which the thiocarbamate herbicide is S-ethyl hexahydro-1H-azepine-1-carbothioate.
- 6. The method of claim 5 in which the crop is rice.
- 7. The method of claim 4 in which the thiocarbamate herbicide is S-ethyl dipropylthiocarbamate.
- 8. The method of claim 7 in which said crop is corn.
- 9. The method of claim 7 in which said crop is rice.
- 10. The method of protecting a crop from injury due to the herbicide S-ethyl hexahydro-1H-azepine-1-carbothioate, comprising applying to the crop habitat prior to planting from about 0.01 to about 15 parts by weight for each part by weight of said herbicide an antidote compound corresponding to the formula
- R.sub.1 --S--R.sub.2
- wherein R.sub.1 is 3-chloroallyl and R.sub.2 is 3-chloroallyl or R.sub.1 is 2,3-dichloroallyl and R.sub.2 is 2,3-dichloroallyl.
- 11. Method of claim 5 in which the crop is corn.
