Claims
- 1. A process for the preparation of a complex of the phosphine of the formula ##STR3## wherein R is independently selected from the group consisting of cyclohexyl and alkyls having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, M is hydrogen, ammonium, alkyl substituted ammonium, aryl substituted ammonium, a monovalent metal, and a chemical equivalent of a polyvalent metal, x is 1, 2, or 3, and n is 0 or 1 with a metal comprising contacting said metal, in elemental form or as a compound, with said phosphine.
- 2. The process of claim 1 wherein said alkali metal is selected from the group consisting of sodium and potassium.
- 3. The process of claim 1 wherein said alkaline earth metal is selected from the group consisting of magnesium and calcium.
- 4. The process of claim 1 wherein said metal is a compound selected from the group consisting of oxides, salts of inorganic hydrogen and oxygen acids, and salts of aliphatic mono- and polycarboxylic acids.
- 5. The process of claim 4 wherein said salts are selected from the group consisting of halides, nitrates, formates, and acetates.
