Claims
- 1. A composition of matter stabilized against oxidative deterioration which comprises a polyolefin; from 0.1 to 5% by weight of a stabilizing compound having the formula ##EQU6## wherein each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a lower alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R.sup.3 is alkyl of 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and R.sup.4 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 18 carbon atoms; and from 0.5 to 2% by weight of a co-stabilizer of the formula ##EQU7## where R is alkyl of 6 to 24 carbon atoms and m is an integer from 1 to 6.
- 2. A composition of claim 1 wherein the co-stabilizer is selected from the group consisting of dilauryl .beta.-thiodipropionate and distearyl .beta.-thiodipropionate.
- 3. A composition of claim 1 wherein the polyolefin is polypropylene.
- 4. A composition of claim 1 wherein each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is methyl or t-butyl.
- 5. The composition of claim 1 wherein the stabilizer is 6(3',5'-di-t-butyl-4'-hydroxyphenyl)-2,4-bis(n-octylthio)-1,3,5-triazine.
- 6. The composition of claim 1 wherein the stabilizer is 6(3',5'-dimethyl-4'-hydroxyphenyl)-2,4-bis(n-octylthio)-1,3,5-triazine.
- 7. A composition of claim 1 wherein the stabilizer is 6(3',5'-di-t-butyl-4'-hydroxyphenyl)-2,4-bis(methylthio)-1,3,5-triazine.
- 8. A composition of claim 1 wherein the stabilizer is 6(3',5'-di-t-butyl-4'-hydroxyphenyl)-2,4-bis(n-octadecylthio)-1,3,5-triazine.
