Claims
- 1. A sulphonylaminocarbonyltriazolinone of the formula ##STR570## in which R.sup.1 represents hydrogen, hydroxyl or amino, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylcarbonyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkenyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkinyl, each of which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine and/or bromine, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cylcoalkyl which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine and/or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, or represents phenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy and/or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl, or represents phenyl which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, fluorine- and/or chlorine-substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio, fluorine- and/or chlorine-substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphinyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphonyl and/or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, cyano, phenyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkenyloxy, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylamino which is optionally substituted by fluorine, cyano, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl, or represents di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-amino,
- R.sup.2 represents hydrogen, hydroxyl, mercapto or amino, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine and/or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, or represents cyclohexenyl, or represents phenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy and/or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl, or represents phenyl which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, fluorine- and/or chlorine-substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio, fluorine- and/or chlorine-substituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphinyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphonyl and/or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, cyano, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylamino or di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-amino, and
- R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR571## where R.sup.15 and R.sup.16 are identical or different and represent hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, nitro, cyano, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl (which is optionally substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine), C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy (which is optionally substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine), or represent C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphinyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphonyl (each of which is optionally substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine), or represent di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)aminosulphonyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl or dimethylaminocarbonyl; furthermore
- R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR572## where R.sup.17 and R.sup.18 are identical or different and represent hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl (which is optionally substituted by fluorine and/or bromine), C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy (which is optionally substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine), or represent C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphinyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphonyl (each of which is optionally substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine), or represent di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-aminosulphonyl; furthermore
- R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR573## where R.sup.19 and R.sup.20 are identical or different and represent hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl (which is optionally substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine), C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy (which is optionally substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine), C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphinyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphonyl (which is optionally substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine), di(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-amino-sulphonyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl or dimethylaminocarbonyl, and

- R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR574## where R.sup.21 and R.sup.22 are identical or different and represent hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -halogenoalkoxy,
- Y.sup.1 represents sulphur or the group N--R.sup.23, where
- R.sup.23 represents hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl; furthermore
- R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR575## where R.sup.24 represents hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, benzyl, quinolinyl or phenyl,
- R.sup.25 represents hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl (which is optionally substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine), C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy (which is optionally substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine), dioxolanyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl, and
- R.sup.26 represents hydrogen, halogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl; furthermore
- R.sup.3 represents one of the groups listed below, ##STR576## or a salt thereof.
- 2. A sulphonylaminocarbonyltriazolinone according to claim 1, in which
- R.sup.1 represents hydrogen, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, methoxy or ethoxy, or represents allyl, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, or represents phenyl, or represents benzyl, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkoxy, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkylamino, or represents di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 -alkyl)-amino, represents hydrogen, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl which is optionally substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine or by methoxy or ethoxy, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, or represents phenyl, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkoxy, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkylamino, or represents di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 -alkyl)-amino, and
- R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR577## where R represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, or represents the radical ##STR578## where R represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, or a salt thereof.
- 3. A herbicidal composition comprising a herbicidally effective amount of a compound or salt according to claim 1 and a inert diluent.
- 4. A method of combating unwanted vegetation which comprises applying to such vegetation or to a locus from which it is desired to exclude such vegetation a herbicidally effective amount of a compound or salt according to claim 1.
- 5. A compound according to claim 1, wherein such compound is 5-ethyl-4-cyclopropyl-2-[(3-dimethylaminocarbonyl-pyridyl)-2-sulphonylaminocarbonyl]-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one of the formula ##STR579##
- 6. A compound according to claim 1, wherein such compound is 5-ethyl-4-cyclopropyl-2-[(2-methoxycarbonylthienyl)-3-sulphonylaminocarbonyl]-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one of the formula ##STR580##
- 7. A compound according to claim 1, wherein such compound is 5-n-propyl-4-cyclopropyl-2-[(2-methoxycarbonylthenyl)-3-sulphonylaminocarbonyl]-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one of the formula ##STR581##
- 8. A compound according to claim 1, wherein such compound is 5-ethyl-4-methoxy-2-[(2-methoxycarbonylthienyl)-3-sulphonylaminocarbonyl]-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one of the formula ##STR582##
- 9. The method according to claim 4, wherein such compound is
- 5-ethyl-4-cyclopropyl-2-[(3-dimethylamino-carbonylpyridyl)-2-sulphonylaminocarbonyl]-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one,
- 5-ethyl-4-cyclopropyl-2-[(2-methoxycarbonyl-thienyl-3-sulphonylaminocarbonyl]-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one,
- 5-ethyl-4-cyclopropyl-2-[(2-methoxycarbonylthienyl)-3-sulphonylaminocarbonyl]-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one or
- 5-ethyl-4-methoxy-2-[(2-methoxycarbonyl-thienyl)-3-sulphonylaminocarbonyl]-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one.
