Abstract
A large surfboard or paddleboard cannot be carried in an automobile or a train, but it is extremely convenient if it can.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Technical Field

The present invention relates to a surfboard or paddleboard that can be easily carried and be divided into two parts.

2. Background Art

The inventor of the present invention filed Japanese Unexamined Patent Application Publication No. 11-59574. This invention needs a large number of screws for fixing, and assembling thereof is somewhat cumbersome.

An example proposed in a foreign country is fixed by a single rod, but this has a defect that the rod is broken easily.

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

Prior-art examples had a problem that assembling was cumbersome. The present invention is firmly fixed and easily assembled and is not broken easily as in the case of using a single pipe. Moreover, materials of a wall, each pipe, and a male pipe are carbon fiber or glass fiber and an epoxy resin, and thus, they are tough.

The present invention is a surfboard or paddleboard splittable into two parts obtained by laterally splitting a board into two parts, in which two pipe holes are provided in each of cut surfaces, female pipes are pushed into the holes, respectively, two male pipes are inserted into two holes, respectively, and then, they are abutted to each other, and the both ends of the board can be fixed by a screw.

Since the present invention uses carbon pipes and there are two pipes, strength is improved. Moreover, the material has strength. The board can be carried in an automobile or a train and can be made compact so that it can be handled extremely easily.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a board;

FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating a pipe;

FIG. 3 is a plan view illustrating a swing-preventing member;

FIG. 4 is a plan view of the board fixed as a single body; and

FIG. 5 is an extended perspective view illustrating a retaining plate.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

Meaning of an embodiment of the present invention will be described below on the basis of FIGS. 1 to 5. A board which is strong and can be separated and joined firmly is provided.

As illustrated in FIGS., reference numeral 1 denotes a nose-side board, and reference numeral 2 denotes a tail-side board. Each of them has two female pipes that is, female pipes 3, 4, 5, and 6. Moreover, swing-preventing female members 7 and 8 and male members 9 and 10, that is, two members are provided respectively on each board. They are abutted to each other in joining while all are attached to thin walls 11 and 12.

The thin walls 11 and 12 and the two female pipes for each part, that is, four pipes in total are firmly formed integrally. Moreover, the male pipes are also formed of the same material.

The board is formed by carbon fiber or glass fiber and an epoxy resin in order to reduce weight and to obtain strength. Even a usual completed board can be made into a board splittable into two parts by dividing a main body thereof, drilling a hole in each part, inserting a female pipe therein and bonding it with a wall, and removing projections. It is naturally possible to fabricate the board as described above in advance and to offer it for sale.

The male pipes 13 and 14 are fitted in the female pipes 3, 4, 5, and 6 for both boards, respectively, and the both are joined by using a screw and fixed. At this time, two members using projections and recesses are matched with each other for preventing swing.

Regarding the screw, a retaining plate 16 having two holes 15 is used to fit the screws in the holes, and the plate is fixed across the both.
