Claims
- 1. A surgical adhesive sheet, comprising
- a sheet material comprising at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of polyurethane resins, silicone resins and fluorine-containing resins, coated with
- a surgical adhesive comprising an NCO-terminated urethane prepolymer having a free isocyanate group content of 2-10% by weight, wherein said sheet is anhydrous or contains water in an amount insufficient to crosslink the prepolymer.
- 2. The surgical adhesive sheet of claim 1, said sheet material being a film capable of transferring said surgical adhesive to tissue.
- 3. A surgical adhesive sheet, comprising
- a biodegradable sheet material comprising at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of polyamino acids, polyamino acid copolymers, oxidized cellulose, chitin, collagen, polylactic acids, polyglycolic acids, polyhydroxybutyric acids, and copolymers of lactic acid and glycolic acid, coated with
- a surgical adhesive comprising an NCO-terminated urethane prepolymer having a free isocyanate group content of 2-10% by weight, wherein said sheet is anhydrous or contains water in an amount insufficient to crosslink the prepolymer.
- 4. The sheet of claim 1, wherein said prepolymer is derived from at least one organic polyisocyanate and a polyol component comprising at least one hydrophilic polyether polyol having an oxyethylene content of at least 30% by weight of the polyol.
- 5. The sheet of claim 4, wherein said polyol component has an equivalent weight (average) of 100-5,000 and a functionality (average) of 2-8.
- 6. The sheet of claim 4, wherein said polyisocyanate is at least one selected from the group consisting of aromatic polyisocyanates containing 6-20 carbon atoms, aliphatic polyisocyanates containing 2-18 carbon atoms, allcyclic polyisocyanates containing 4-15 carbon atoms, araliphatic polyisocyanates containing 8-15 carbon atoms, except carbon atoms in NCO groups, and modified polyisocyanates of these polyisocyanates containing one or more of urethane, carbodiimide, allophanate, urea, biuret, urethdione, urethimine, isocyanurate and oxazolidone groups.
- 7. The sheet of claim 4, wherein said polyisocyanate comprises a fluorine-containing polyisocyanate.
- 8. The sheet of claim 3, wherein said prepolymer is derived from at least one organic polyisocyanate and a polyol component comprising at least one hydrophilic polyether polyol having an oxyethylene content of at least 30% by weight of the polyol.
- 9. The sheet of claim 8, wherein said polyol component has an equivalent weight (average) of 100-5,000 and a functionality (average) of 2-8.
- 10. The sheet of claim 8, wherein said polyisocyanate is at least one selected from the group consisting of aromatic polyisocyanates containing 6-20 carbon atoms, aliphatic polyisocyanates containing 2-18 carbon atoms, alicyclic polyisocyanates containing 4-15 carbon atoms, araliphatic polyisocyanates containing 8-15 carbon atoms, except carbon atoms in NCO groups, and modified polyisocyanates of these polyisocyanates containing one or more of urethane, carbodiimide, allophanate, urea, biuret, urethdione, urethimine, isocyanurate and oxazolidone groups.
- 11. The sheet of claim 8, wherein said polyisocyanate comprises a fluorine-containing polyisocyanate.
- 12. The sheet of claim 5, wherein the maximum average molecular weight of the polyol component is about 4,000.
