The present disclosure relates to the field of devices used to clean a swimming pool and more particularly, t a swimming pool brush.
Swimming pool brushes are cleaning tools used to clean a swimming pool. A pool brush usually comprises a handle, a frame and bristles. The bristles are fixed to the bottom surface of the frame and the handle is fixed to the top surface of the frame. A handler would grasp the handle and do reciprocating motion thereof to perform cleaning with the bristles. However, the four corners of a swimming pool would often prove difficult to clean during actual usage. In prior arts, the frame is usually formed as a flat plate with bristles arranged merely on the bottom surface of the plat. Such a pool brush would be inefficient when cleaning the corners of a swimming pool, leaving persistent blots around the corners after cleaning. This will bring about poor cleaning results.
A pool brush includes a brush frame having a top surface and a bottom surface, a handle mounted in a mounting socket on the top surface and a plurality of rows of bristles attached on the bottom surface, wherein each row of the plurality of rows of bristles comprises a vertical row of bristles and two tilted rows of bristles arranged on the two sides of the vertical row of bristles, and the angle between the axial line of the outermost bristle in the tilted row of bristles and the axial line of each bristle in the vertical row of bristles is no less than 90 degrees.
The brush frame may include a horizontal part and two tilted parts formed by curving the two ends of the horizontal part upwards, the vertical row of bristles are arranged vertically on the bottom surface of the horizontal part, the tilted rows of bristles are arranged oh the, bottom surface of respective tilted parts.
The brush frame may include a horizontal part and two tilted parts inserted into the two sides of the horizontal part, the vertical row of bristles are arranged vertically on the bottom surface of the horizontal part, and the tilted rows of bristles are arranged on the bottom surface of respective tilted parts.
The handle may include a mounting part and a handling part, the handling part is fixed aslant to the mounting part, the mounting socket is arranged on the horizontal part, and the mounting part is to be mounted in the mounting part.
The pool brush may include plurality of connecting bumps are arranged on a surface of the mounting part which faces the brush frame, a plurality of connecting holes are arranged on the bottom surface of the horizontal part in correspondence with the connecting bumps, a plurality of bolts are arranged at the connecting holes, and the front ends of the bolts are screwed to the connecting bumps through the connecting holes.
The pool brush may include a plurality of fixing parts arranged the two sides of the handling part to support the handling part, and the to ends of each fixing par e fixed to the handling part and the mounting part, respectively.

The pool brush according to an embodiment ensures the largest angle between a bristle 300 on the tilted row 320 and a bristle 300 on the vertical row 310 is greater than or equal to 90 degrees during usage. A swath using bristles 300 arranged on a flat brush frame 100 would be able to reach blots on horizontal or vertical surfaces and/or walls, but would fail to clean the corners of a pool formed at the juncture of adjacent walls. By incorporating both vertical bristles and flaring tilted bristles, and forming an angle therebetween, the four corners of a pool could be cleaned more effectively with the bristles on the tilted and vertical rows. The pool brush according to the present disclosure would therefore enable improved cleaning efficiency.
In one embodiment, the brush frame 100 includes a horizontal part 110 and two tilted parts 120 formed by curving the two ends of the horizontal part 110 upwards. The vertical row 310 of bristles are arranged, vertically on the bottom surface of the horizontal part 110, and the tilted rows 320 of bristles are arranged on the bottom surface of respective tilted parts 120. This configuration enhances the strength of connection between the horizontal part 110 and the tilted parts 120, such that life time of the pool brush may be increased.
In another embodiment, the brush frame 100 includes a horizontal part 110 and two tilted parts 120. The tilted parts 120 are formed as curvature and inserted into the two sides of the horizontal part 110. By inserting the tilted parts 120 into the horizontal part 110, assembly and disassembly of the horizontal part 110 and the tilted parts 120 becomes more convenient. Having the vertical row 310 of bristles arranged vertically on the bottom surface of the horizontal part 110 and the tilted rows 320 of bristles arranged on the bottom surface of respective tilted parts 120 could improve the cleaning efficiency of the pool brush.
The handle 200 comprises a mounting part 210 and a handling part 220 fixed aslant to the mounting part 210. During pool cleaning, a handler would grasp the handle 220 and do reciprocating motion along with the mounting part 210. As the handler grasps the handle 220, bristles 300 on the mounting part 210 would press vertically against the surface of the pool to provide improved cleaning efficiency and results.
In some embodiments, a mounting socket 111 is arranged on the surface of the horizontal part 110. The mount part 210 is embedded into the mounting socket 111. Stability of the mount part 210 could be increased using this feature.
In another embodiment, a plurality of connecting bumps 211 are arranged on a surface of the mounting part 210 which faces the brush frame 100. A plurality of connecting holes 191 are arranged on the bottom surface of the brush frame 100 in correspondence with the connecting bumps 211. Bolts are arranged at the connecting holes 101. The front ends of the bolts are screwed to the connecting bumps 211 through the connecting holes 101. The back ends are embedded into the connecting holes 101. Such configuration of bolts facilitates installation, and also avoids any contact between the bolts and the bristles 300. Usage readiness of the pool brush is improved by arranging the bolts as mentioned above.
Further, a plurality of fixing parts 221 are arranged on the two sides of the handling part 220 to support the handling part 220. The two ends of each fixing part 221 are fixed to the handling part 220 and the mounting part 210, respectively. The deployment of fixing parts 221 increases the stability of the handling part 220. Usually the force applied to the handling part 220 by the handler converges to the juncture of the handling part 220 and the mounting part 210, and tends to cause fracture at the juncture. The use of fixing parts 221 avoids such a penalty and thus increases the lift time of the pool brush. Mounting holes which penetrate the handling part 220 are also arranged on the outer surface of the handling part 220 for mounting of a prolonged holder.
