CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application is based on and claims priority under 35 USC 119 from Japanese Patent Application No. 2023-189358 filed on Nov. 6, 2023, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to a swingable toy.

BACKGROUND ART

In the related art, swingable toys that can be enjoyed by swinging a member are disclosed. For example, JP3110565U discloses a swingable toy in which a driving force from a rotation driving mechanism, which rotates a drum of a music box, operates a cam via a plurality of gears, and a swingable body in contact with the cam is caused to swing by the cam. The swingable body is connected to a figure's hand or the like through a string, allowing the figure's hand or the like to move to suit the sound from the music box.

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

A swinging mechanism having a plurality of gears may be provided with a gear box or the like to prevent a user's finger from accessing the gears. This may complicate the structure of the toy itself and may also create problems in the design of the toy.

An object of the present disclosure is to provide a swingable toy with a simple configuration that does not use gears.

A swingable toy according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes: a swingable body supported to be rotatable around a first rotation axis and including a cam follower located lower than the first rotation axis; and an eccentric cam member provided to be allowed to contact the cam follower and supported to be rotatable eccentrically around a second rotation axis located lower than the first rotation axis, in which the first rotation axis and the second rotation axis are arranged to intersect each other when viewed in a vertical direction.

According to the above aspect, it is possible to provide a swingable toy with a simple configuration that does not use gears.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

FIG. 1 shows a parade vehicle toy 1 designed in an image of a traveling vehicle that travels in a parade held at a festival or theme park. A vehicle on a front side (left side in FIG. 1) of the parade vehicle toy 1 is a first parade vehicle toy 2 designed in an image of a train. A vehicle on a rear side (right side in FIG. 1) of the parade vehicle toy 1 is a vehicle towed by the first parade vehicle toy 2, and is a second parade vehicle toy 3 designed in an image of a night sky with the moon rising. The second parade vehicle toy 3 includes a swingable toy 10 including a swingable body 11 imitating a crescent moon, an airplane toy 4 suspended from the swingable body 11, and the like.

The second parade vehicle toy 3 includes a base member 30 on which a plurality of wheels 31 are provided to be rotatable on a lower surface. The base member 30 is formed in a substantially flat plate-like shape designed in an image of a cloud. As shown in FIG. 2, the swingable toy 10 is provided on the base member 30. The swingable toy 10 includes a first rotation shaft support member 12 mounted on the base member 30. The first rotation shaft support member 12 is formed in a substantially triangular, substantially plate-like shape, and has a first rotation axis CL1 formed at an upper end portion, which becomes an apex portion.

A bearing hole 12a having a central axis concentric with the first rotation axis CL1, as shown in FIG. 3, is provided near the apex portion of the first rotation shaft support member 12, which is substantially triangular (see also FIG. 2). The swingable body 11 includes a boss 11a erected from a rear surface of the swingable body 11 and rotatably supported by the bearing hole 12a. The boss 11a is located substantially in the middle of the length of the swingable body 11 in a vertical direction. The boss 11a is inserted into a concave hole 13a of a rotating member 13 located at a position facing the boss 11a. On a side of the rotating member 13 opposite to the hole 13a, a star-shaped decorative member 14 (see also FIG. 2) is attached. The boss 11a and the decorative member 14 are fixed to the rotating member 13, and the central axes of the respective parts are concentric with the first rotation axis CL1. An outer peripheral surface 13b of the rotating member 13 is rotatably supported by an inner peripheral surface 12a1 of the bearing hole 12a. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the swingable body 11 includes a cloud-shaped cam follower 11b provided lower than the first rotation axis CL1.

Note that as shown in FIG. 2, the swingable toy 10 includes a second rotation shaft support member 15 erected on the base member 30. The second rotation shaft support member 15 has a second rotation axis CL2 formed at an upper end portion. As shown in FIG. 4, the second rotational shaft support member 15 is provided with a bearing hole 15a having a central axis concentric with the second rotation axis CL2. In the bearing hole 15a, a shaft 16a of an eccentric cam member 16 is inserted. In addition, the shaft 16a is connected to a shaft 17a of an operating member 17 for manual operation. The shaft 16a and the shaft 17a constitute a connecting shaft member and are fixed to each other. That is, the connecting shaft member includes the operating member 17 and the eccentric cam member 16.

The operating member 17 is formed in a substantially circular plate shape and is provided to be rotatable around the second rotation axis CL2 together with the eccentric cam member 16. In addition, the operating member 17 has a bearing hole 17b, which has a central axis concentric with the second rotation axis CL2. In the bearing hole 17b, a support shaft 18a provided to an auxiliary rotation support member 18, which is erected from the base member 30, and extending to a part of the shaft 16a on the shaft 17a side is inserted. The operating member 17 and the eccentric cam member 16 are rotatably supported by the auxiliary rotation support member 18 and the second rotation shaft support member 15.

The eccentric cam member 16 has a circular outer shape when viewed from the axial direction of the second rotation axis CL2. In other words, the eccentric cam member 16 has an outer peripheral surface 16b whose outer periphery is circular in a cross-section by a plane perpendicular to the second rotation axis CL2. The eccentric cam member 16 is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape. The shaft 16a of the eccentric cam member 16 is provided such that its shaft center is concentric with the second rotation axis CL2 and is eccentric with respect to a central axis of the outer peripheral surface 16b of the eccentric cam member 16. In this way, the eccentric cam member 16 is supported to be rotatable eccentrically around the second rotation axis CL2.

As shown in FIG. 3, the first rotation axis CL1 and the second rotation axis CL2 are arranged to intersect each other when viewed in the vertical direction (the upper side in FIG. 1 is considered as up and the lower side is considered as down). The swingable body 11 is arranged in such an inclined manner that, when viewed from the front, a crescent-shaped tip is located on the front side.

In the swingable toy 10, the position of the first rotation axis CL1 or the swingable body 11 is normally set so that the cam follower 11b is in contact with the outer peripheral surface 16b of the eccentric cam member 16. When the operating member 17 is turned by hand, the eccentric cam member 16 rotates eccentrically around the second rotation axis CL2. The cam follower 11b moves back and forth by following the outer peripheral surface 16b of the eccentric cam member 16. Therefore, the swingable body 11 swings around the first rotation axis CL1.

Here, the cam follower 11b is provided on the lower side of the first rotation axis CL1 of the swingable body 11, so that the weight of the swingable body 11 is applied to the eccentric cam member 16. Therefore, even when the hand is detached from the operating member 17 at any arbitrary rotational position of the operating member 17, the swingable body 11 stops at the corresponding position and does not move.

According to the above-described embodiment of the present disclosure, a swingable toy of the following aspects can be provided.

A swingable toy according to a first aspect includes: a swingable body supported to be rotatable around a first rotation axis and including a cam follower located lower than the first rotation axis; and an eccentric cam member provided to be allowed to contact the cam follower and supported to be rotatable eccentrically around a second rotation axis located lower than the first rotation axis, in which the first rotation axis and the second rotation axis are arranged to intersect each other when viewed in a vertical direction.

With this configuration, the cam follower can be configured to be in contact with the eccentric cam member by the weight of the swingable body. Therefore, it is possible to provide a swingable toy with a simple configuration that does not use gears. In addition, since the cam follower and the eccentric cam member are simply in contact with each other, even when a finger or the like is caught between the cam follower and the eccentric cam member, only the weight of the swingable body is applied, allowing the finger or the like to be easily released. Since the first rotation axis and the second rotation axis are arranged to intersect each other when viewed in the vertical direction, the swinging direction of the swingable body is not limited to the direction perpendicular to the second rotation axis, which leads to an improvement in the aesthetic design of the toy.

The swingable toy according to a second aspect includes a connecting shaft member rotatably provided along the second rotation axis, and the connecting shaft member includes the eccentric cam member and an operating member for manual operation.

With this configuration, since the swingable body can be subjected to a swinging operation by manual operation of the operating member, it is also easy for a user to stop the swingable body at any arbitrary position, making play even more enjoyable.

In the swingable toy according to a third aspect, the eccentric cam member has an outer peripheral surface having a circular outer periphery in cross section.

With this configuration, an eccentric cam member having a circular outer peripheral shape, such as a cylindrical shape, rather than a cam shape, can be formed, so it is easy to become familiar with the design image of a toy with a given theme. Therefore, it is possible to provide a swingable toy with further enhanced aesthetic design.

Although the embodiments of the present disclosure have been described, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments and can be variously changed without departing from the scope of the present disclosure.
