Claims
- 1. A switch drive for a rotary switch, comprising:
- a toothed gearing;
- driving means including a shaft for actuating said toothed gearing;
- a switch drive shaft extending coaxially to said shaft; and
- transferring means for transmitting movement of said toothed gearing onto said switch drive shaft and including an eccentric engaging member supported by said toothed gearing and a switch arm fixedly connected to said switch drive shaft and operatively connected with said engaging member so as to be movable between two defined end positions for rotating said switch drive shaft about an operating angle of about 90.degree., said engaging member describing a circular arc thereby causing movement of said switch arm between said two defined end positions.
- 2. A switch drive as defined in claim 1 wherein said toothed gearing includes a pinion connected to said driving means and a first gear meshing with said pinion, said engaging member being arranged eccentrically on said first gear.
- 3. A switch drive as defined in claim 2 wherein said first gear is a stationary rotating gear arranged eccentrically relative to said switch drive shaft so that said engaging member describes said circular arc with respect to said switch arm.
- 4. A switch drive as defined in claim 2 wherein said driving means includes an electromotor connected to said pinion via said shaft, and a slipping clutch interposed between said shaft and said pinion.
- 5. A switch drive as defined in claim 2 wherein said driving means includes a motor-driven shaft cooperating with said pinion, and further comprising actuating means for reversing said motor-driven shaft to allow movement of said switch arm between said end positions, said actuating means including a second gear meshing with said pinion, a switch cam connected to said second gear and at least one microswitch actuated by said switch cam upon reaching of said end positions by said switch arm.
- 6. A switch drive as defined in claim 2, and further comprising stop means for limiting rotation of said first gear and including a stop member connected to said first gear, and a pair of stationary stop members cooperating with said stop member.
- 7. A switch drive as defined in claim 6 wherein at least one of said stop members is made of soft magnetic material.
- 8. A switch drive as defined in claim 7, and further comprising a permanent magnet cooperating with at least said one of said stop members.
- 9. A switch drive as defined in claim 1, and further comprising guiding means for accurately positioning said switch arm in said end positions and including a guideway provided with two radially inwardly extending sections defining respective indexed end positions, a slide slidably mounted along said switch arm and engaged by said engaging member, and an index roller supported by said slide and running along said guideway between said indexed end positions.
- 10. A switch drive as defined in claim 9 wherein said switch arm includes an elongated groove, said slide being guided within said groove of said switch arm.
- 11. A switch drive as defined in claim 9 wherein said guiding means further includes a spring having one end supported by said slide and another end supported by said switch arm, said spring acting radially outwardly on said slide to allow disengagement of said index roller from said indexed end positions.
- 12. A switch drive as defined in claim 9, and further comprising a rocking lever swingably mounted on said switch arm and provided with a guideway, said engaging member engaging said guideway of said rocking lever shortly before said index roller reaches said indexed end positions for locking said switch arm in its respective end positions.
