Claims
- 1. A polystyrene-based resin composition comprising 25-75 parts by weight of (A) a styrene-based resin with a mainly syndiotactic configuration, selected from the group consisting of polystyrene, poly(alkylstyrene), poly(halogenated styrene), poly(alkoxystyrene), styrene copolymers comprised of polymerized units of at least two of styrene, alkylstyrene, halogenated styrene and alkoxystyrene, and mixtures thereof, and 25-75 parts by weight of (B) a thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of a polyolefin, polyester, polyether, polyamide and polycarbonate, and 1-15 parts by weight of (C) a rubber polymer having a volume average particle diameter of 0.1-4 .mu.m, wherein said rubber polymer is selected from the group consisting of SEP, SBS, SIS, SEBS, SEPS, MAS, MBS, maleated SBS, maleated SEBS, maleated SEP and maleated SIS.
- 2. The composition of claim 1, further comprising an inorganic filler (D).
- 3. The composition of claim 2, wherein said inorganic filler (D) is a carbon, alumina, or glass fiber.
- 4. The composition of claim 2, wherein said inorganic filler (D) is a granular or powdered filler selected from the group consisting of talc, carbon black, graphite, titanium dioxide, silica, mica, calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, magnesium sulfate, barium sulfate, oxysulfate, tin oxide, alumina, kaolin, silicon carbide, and metal powder.
- 5. The composition of claim 1, further comprising an antioxidant.
- 6. The composition of claim 2, further comprising an antioxidant.
- 7. The composition of claim 2, comprising 10-60% by weight of said inorganic filler.
- 8. The composition of claim 2, comprising 10-40% by weight of said inorganic filler.
- 9. The composition of claim 2, wherein said organic filler is glass fiber.
- 10. The composition of claim 7, wherein said organic filler is glass fiber.
- 11. The composition of claim 8, wherein said organic filler is glass fiber.
- 12. The composition of claim 1, wherein component A is present in an amount greater than or equal to that of component B.
- 13. The composition of claim 1, wherein said rubber polymer is SEBS.
- 14. The composition of claim 13, wherein said thermoplastic resin is a polycarbonate.
- 15. The composition of claim 1, wherein said rubber polymer is SEPS.
- 16. A polystyrene-based resin composition comprising 25-75 parts by weight of (A) a styrene-based resin with a mainly syndiotactic configuration, selected from the group consisting of polystyrene, poly(alkylstyrene), poly(halogenated styrene), poly(alkoxystyrene), styrene copolymers comprised of polymerized units of at least two of styrene, alkylstyrene, halogenated styrene and alkoxystyrene, and mixtures thereof, and 25-75 parts by weight of (B) a thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of a polyolefin, polyester, polyether, polyamide and polycarbonate, and 1-15 parts by weight of (C) a rubber polymer having a volume average particle diameter of 0.1-4 .mu.m, wherein said rubber polymer is selected from the group consisting of SEP, SB, SBS, SIS, SEBS, SEPS, BSB, SEB, SI, maleated SBS, maleated SEBS, maleated SEPS and maleated SIS.
- 17. The composition of claim 16, wherein said rubber polymer is SEBS.
- 18. A polystyrene-based resin composition comprising 25-75 parts by weight of (A) a styrene-based resin with a mainly syndiotactic configuration, selected from the group consisting of polystyrene, poly(alkylstyrene), poly(halogenated styrene), poly(alkoxystyrene), styrene copolymers comprised of polymerized units of at least two of styrene, alkylstyrene, halogenated styrene and alkoxystyrene, and mixtures thereof, and 25-75 parts by weight of (B) a thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of a polyolefin, polyester, polyether, polyamide and polycarbonate, and 1-15 parts by weight of (C) a rubber polymer having a volume average particle diameter of 0.1-4 .mu.m, wherein said rubber polymer is selected from the group consisting of SEP, maleated SBS, maleated SEBS, maleated SEP and maleated SIS.
- 19. The composition of claim 18, wherein said rubber polymer is SEBS.
- 20. A polystyrene-based resin composition comprising 25-75 parts by weight of (A) a styrene-based resin with a mainly syndiotactic configuration, selected from the group consisting of polystyrene, poly(alkylstyrene), poly(halogenated styrene), poly(alkoxystyrene), styrene copolymers comprised of polymerized units of at least two of styrene, alkylstyrene, halogenated styrene and alkoxystyrene, and mixtures thereof, and 25-75 parts by weight of (B) a thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of a polypropylene, polyamide and polycarbonate, and 1-15 parts by weight of (C) a rubber polymer having a volume average particle diameter of 0.1-4 .mu.m, wherein said rubber polymer is selected from the group consisting of SEP, SEBS and SEPS.
- 21. A polystyrene-based resin composition comprising 25-75 parts by weight of (A) a styrene-based resin with a mainly syndiotactic configuration, selected from the group consisting of polystyrene, poly(alkylstyrene), poly(halogenated styrene), poly(alkoxystyrene), styrene copolymers comprised of polymerized units of at least two of styrene, alkylstyrene, halogenated styrene and alkoxystyrene, and mixtures thereof, and 25-75 parts by weight of (B) a polycarbonate, and 1-15 parts by weight of (C) a rubber polymer having a volume average particle diameter of 0.1-4 .mu.m, wherein said rubber polymer is selected from the group consisting of SEP, SBS, SIS, SEBS, SEPS, MAS, MBS, SB, SI, maleated SBS, maleated SEBS, and maleated SIS.
- 22. A polystyrene-based resin composition comprising 25-75 parts by weight of (A) a styrene-based resin with a mainly syndiotactic configuration, selected from the group consisting of polystyrene, poly(alkylstyrene), poly(halogenated styrene), poly(alkoxystyrene), styrene copolymers comprised of polymerized units of at least two of styrene, alkylstyrene, halogenated styrene and alkoxystyrene, and mixtures thereof, and 25-75 parts by weight of (B) a thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of a polyolefin, polyamide and polycarbonate, and 1-15 parts by weight of (C) a rubber polymer having a volume average particle diameter of 0.1-4 .mu.m, wherein said rubber polymer is selected from the group consisting of SEP, SBS, SIS, SEBS, SEPS, MAS, MBS, SB, SI, maleated SBS, maleated SEBS, maleated SEP and maleated SIS.
