Claims
- 1. A method for healing bacterial keratitis at an eye, the method comprising applying an effective amount to the eye of an antimicrobial purified water composition comprising from about 0.02 wt. % to about 0.10 wt. % of a sodium chlorite and from about 0.005 wt. % to about 001 wt. % of a hydrogen peroxide, wherein no chlorine dioxide is generated during storage of said composition, and wherein said composition is at a pH between about 7.4 and 7.8.
- 2. A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the composition comprises:lubricant 0.05 wt. % to 0.2 wt. %;boric acid 0.15 wt. %;sodium chloride 0.75 wt. %;surfactant 0.05 wt. % to 0.2 wt. %;HCl or NaOHto adjust pH;purified water Q.S. to volume.
