Claims
- 1. A labeled compound, [2-13C]dithane wherein said 13C atom is directly bonded to exactly one or two deuterium atoms.
- 2. The compound of claim 1 wherein said 13C atom is directly bonded to exactly one deuterium atom.
- 3. The compound of claim 1 wherein said 13C atom is directly bonded to exactly two deuterium atoms.
- 4. A process of preparing a labeled compound, [2-13C]dithane wherein said 13C atom is directly bonded to exactly one or two deuterium atoms comprising:
reacting [13C]methyl phenyl sulfoxide with sodium acylate to form an intermediate product; and, reacting said intermediate product with HS—(CH2)3—SH to form said labeled compound, [2-13C]dithane wherein said 13C atom is directly bonded to exactly one or two deuterium atoms.
- 5. A labeled compound of the structure Ar—S—C*D2-xHx—O—R where Ar is an aryl group, C* is a 13C labeled carbon atom, D is a 2H, x is 0 or 1, and R is selected from the group consisting of C1-C5 lower alkyl groups and acyl groups including a C1-C5 lower alkyl group substituent.
- 6. The compound of claim 5 wherein said aryl is selected from the group consisting of phenyl, 1-naphthyl, 2-naphthyl, and derivatives thereof.
- 7. The compound of claim 5 wherein said aryl is phenyl.
- 8. The compound of claim 5 wherein said labeled compound is a [2H1-2, 13C]methanol (arylthio)-, acetate.
- 9. The compound of claim 8 wherein said labeled compound is a [2H1-2, 13C]methanol (phenlthio)-, acetate.
