Claims
- 1. A labeled compound, [2-13C]1,3dithiane wherein said 13C is directly bonded to exactly one or two deuterium atoms.
- 2. The compound of claim 1 wherein said 13C atom is directly bonded to exactly one deuterium atom.
- 3. The compound of claim 1 wherein said 13C atom is directly bonded to exactly two deuterium atoms.
- 4. A process of preparing a labeled compound, [2-13C]1,3dithiane wherein said 13C atom is directly bonded to exactly one or two deuterium atoms comprising:reacting [13C]methyl phenyl sulfoxide with sodium acylate to form an intermediate product; and, reacting said intermediate product with HS—(CH2)3—SH to form said labeled compound, [2-13C]1,3dithiane wherein said 13C atom is directly bonded to exactly one or two deuterium atoms.
