Claims
- 1. A method for electronically sending a laboratory order, the method comprising:
executing a client application to input information for a laboratory requisition, wherein the requisition information specifies one or more lab tests to be performed; electronically sending the requisition information to at least one laboratory; electronically receiving results of the lab tests from the at least one laboratory.
- 2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
storing the requisition information on a local computer system; wherein said electronically sending the requisition information comprises sendinf the stored information at a later time after said storing.
- 3. The method of claim 1,
wherein the requisition information specifies at least two labs, wherein at least one lab test is to be performed by each of the at least two labs; wherein said electronically sending the requisition information comprises electronically sending the requisition information to the at least two labs; wherein electronically receiving results of the lab tests comprises electronically receiving results of the lab tests from the at least two labs.
- 4. The method of claim 1,
wherein said electronically sending the requisition information comprises the client application interfacing with a middleware server, wherein the middleware server interfaces with a computer system associated with each of the at least one laboratories.
